Fujian Tingjiangyuan National Nature Reserve was established on December 5, 2014 by the announcement of the General Office of the State Council (Guo Ban Fa [2014] No. 61), the reserve is located in Changting County, located in the southern section of the Wuyi Mountains extending the branch area. It involves 15 administrative villages in 5 townships (towns) of Sidu Town, Tiechang Township, Anjie Township, Gucheng Town and Xinqiao Town. The total area of the nature reserve is 10379.7hm2, which is divided into three areas, the Great Compassion Mountain Area (7543.9hm2), the Guilong Mountain Area (1555.2hm2) and the Zhongsu Area (1280.6hm2). The core area of the nature reserve is 3134.6hm2, the buffer zone area is 1087.6hm2, and the experimental area is 6157.5hm2. The forest coverage rate of the reserve is 93.1%, and the main objects of protection are the native central subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest ecosystem, the typical central subtropical stream ecosystem, the rich large fungal resources, and the important water conservation forest at the headwaters of the Ting River, which belongs to the forest ecosystem type nature reserve.
There are 1361 species of vascular plants in 670 genera of 226 families, including 124 species of ferns in 67 genera and 37 families, 13 species in 11 genera of gymnosperms in 8 families, and 1224 species in 592 genera of 181 families of angiosperms. The national Grade I protected plants include yew trees, southern yew trees, ginkgo biloba and Bole trees, and the national Grade II protected plants include Fujian cypress, camphor tree, palm palm tree, umbrella flower tree, mountain bean root and other 15 species. The population of Fujian Cypress is large, the structure is complete, the update is good, and the distribution of large, medium and small diameter is uniform, the maximum chest diameter is 1 meter, which is the first in Fujian, which is rare in the country, and the distribution area is 2hm2. There are also 39 species of wild orchids.
There are 393 species of vertebrates in 36 orders and 105 families, 58 species of fish in 5 orders and 13 families, 26 species of amphibians in 2 orders and 7 families, 63 species of reptiles in 3 orders and 12 families, and 200 species of birds in 18 orders and 53 families (the fresh and magnificent natural scenery of Tingjiangyuan has welcomed many birds to inhabit, and many rare birds that have never been seen before are also inhabiting Changting, such as the national first-class protected wild birds White-necked long-tailed pheasant; national second-level protected wild birds White owls, red-bellied eagles, oriental horned owls, brown-winged crows, mandarin ducks. Datong Town has a national grade II protected wild bird, the Hainan tiger flounder. Hetian Town has three national protected birds Common buzzard; national three protected birds (endangered) yellow-breasted bunting), mammals 8 orders, 20 families and 46 species. There are 4 species in Appendix I of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, and 33 species listed in Appendix II. Among them, there are 73 species of wild animals listed under national key protection, including 65 species of white-necked long-tailed pheasants, pythons, sambar deer, macaques, white egrets, mandarin ducks, tiger striped frogs, etc.
The sambar deer in the area is a national level II protected animal, which has been designated as a vulnerable species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN for short), and the live activity of the sambar deer photographed in the reserve is the first time in Fujian. Among the fish, Changting pseudo-abdominal loach, round-spotted loach, and Cantonese loach are the characteristics of Changting and Tingjiang river basins. Among the large fungi, the sky blue mushroom is one of the top ten magical mushroom species in the world. In 1948, Professor Zhao Xiuqian of Xiamen University discovered sichuan moss plants in Changting, and Fujian sichuan moss grass and Sichuan moss grass are local endemic species, all of which are found only in this reserve, which are rare in the world. The black leaf cone community and the umbrella flower community are extremely rare.
There are 947 species in 226 families in 30 orders of insects, of which the golden butterfly, the dead leaf butterfly, and the double-forked rhinoceros turtle are the "three listed" species.

Ferret badger, the third protected animal in the country, weighs 1-1.5 kg and has a body length of 315-417 mm. It is often alone at night, omnivorous, and also preys on chicks.
South China rabbit, weighs about 1.5-2.5 kg. The body length is generally around 400 mm. Herbivorous, more nocturnal. The South China rabbit has been listed on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) 2008 Red List of Threatened Species.
Wild boar, our county wild boar are Eurasian wild boar, wild boar environmental adaptability is very strong. Omnivorous, eat as long as you can eat anything. Mostly in groups, consisting of one or more breeding females and their last litter of pups, usually when food is plentiful, there are also several small groups forming large groups to forage together. It is dominated by young leaves, nuts, berries, grass blades and grass roots, and digs roots and bulbs from the ground with a hard nose. Also eat some animal foods. Wild boars are also included in the national list of three protected animals.
Small chamois, commonly known as "goats", small chamois is the smallest of the deer, about 43-52 cm tall, 70 to 87 cm long, weighing 9 to 18 kg, breeding throughout the year, each litter gives birth to one litter, 7-8 months of sexual maturity. At present, the hunting pressure of the small chamois in our county is relatively large, and it is necessary to strengthen protection.
White stork, commonly known as "cold chicken", national second-class protected animal, male chicken total length 100-119 cm, covered with white feathers, beautiful extraordinary, hen 58-67 cm. Its natural habitats are densely forested, sparsely planted evergreen broad-leaved forests and ravine rainforests. Eats insects, plant stems and leaves, fruits and seeds. They usually move in pairs or in small groups of 3-6 individuals, nesting in recesses in the ground between the bushes during the breeding period. Each clutch lays 4-6 eggs, and the chicks become early and can leave the nest to follow the parent birds on the day of hatching. Although there is a certain number of white storks in our county, they are seriously endangered by various jackets and urgently need to be protected.
Civets, also known as flower-faced cats, are 48 to 50 cm long and 37 to 41 cm tail long; weigh 3.6 to 5 kg. Nocturnal animals. He likes to move at dusk, at night and before sunrise, and is good at climbing. It is an omnivore, eating mainly wild fruits and grains, also eating branches and leaves, and occasionally eating fruits in orchards.
Porcupines, porcupines in Tingjiangyuan are a Chinese subspecies of Malay porcupine, with a strong body length of 63-72 cm, a tail length of 8-14 cm, and a weight of 0.7-2.4 kg. The shape of the head is a bit like a rabbit, but the ears are small and the hearing and vision are not very sensitive. There are flattened spines on the side of the body and on the chest. There are round spines on the posterior 1/4 of the body and on the tail. Generally nocturnal, plant-feeding.
