Between April 29 and October 27, 2020, Zhong Hanlin was accused of colluding with others to publish inflammatory publications with the intention of causing hatred or contempt for the Hong Kong SAR government or provoking rebellion against him or inciting others to use violence. He was also charged with actively organizing, planning, carrying out or participating in acts aimed at splitting the country and undermining national unity with others between July 1 and October 27, 2020.
In addition, Zhong Hanlin illegally held funds with a total value of more than $133,000 in his account from January 19, 2018 to October 27, 2020, and his other bank account illegally held funds with a total value of more than $582,000 between January 2, 2018 and October 27, 2020.
