Ma Shizu saw his kind eyebrows and good eyes, so he told the truth, and the old monk listened, took out two grapefruits from the cloth bag on his back, and handed them to him: "The poor monk has two good fruits here, and this fruit has the effect of coughing and refreshing the mind and strengthening the spleen and eyes, which may be beneficial to Lingtang." Ma Shizu took the grapefruit after thanking him, and when he returned home, he broke the grapefruit, only to see that the grapefruit was red, but he felt that the room was full of fragrance, and after the old mother ate, Huo Ran healed. Ma Shizu was overjoyed, and rushed back to the Xishan Temple, but asked the monks in the temple, and there was no such an old monk as he said, walking out of the mountain gate, only to see the pine waves in the mountains, but there was no trace of the old monk. According to later legends, the old monk was actually the embodiment of Maitreya, and he felt the filial piety of the ancestor of the horse and carried two immortal fruits from the Yao pond. After Ma Shizu returned home, he erected a statue for the old monk, sacrificed at four o'clock, and planted the seeds of the grapefruit donated by the old monk, carefully cultivated, and a few years later, there was a famous red heart grapefruit variety in the nearby countryside.
