Lhasa, 5 Nov (China News Network) -- On November 5, the groundbreaking ceremony of the joint school of the Lhasa Municipal People's Government of Tibet and the Affiliated Middle School of Chinese University (hereinafter referred to as the "Renmin University Affiliated Middle School") and the Affiliated Middle School of Chinese Min University was held in Dulong Deqing District, Lhasa City. The total investment of the project is about 818 million yuan, and it is scheduled to be completed on July 15, 2023.

According to reports, the Lhasa School Affiliated to the People's Congress is a joint school joint school between the Lhasa Municipal People's Government of Tibet and the Affiliated Middle School of Chinese University and the Affiliated Middle School of Chinese University, with a planned land area of about 310 mu and a total construction area of 158,120 square meters. After the completion of the school, the school system is a 15-year consistent system, with a scale of 5,040 students, including 12 classes in kindergartens, 24 classes in primary schools, 36 classes in junior high schools, and 36 classes in high schools.

It is understood that since 1994, Beijing has adhered to the work of education assistance to Tibet, and has continuously promoted exchanges and interactions through infrastructure construction, talent training, teacher selection, remote interaction and other means. At present, it has long-term counterpart support for four schools, including Lhasa Beijing Experimental Middle School, Lhasa Beijing Middle School, Lhasa No. 1 Secondary Vocational and Technical School, and Lhasa No. 1 Primary School.

It is reported that the two places have also cooperated in the establishment of the Lhasa Affiliated Middle School of the Beijing Second Foreign Chinese College, the Lhasa Beijing Experimental Kindergarten and other schools, and the corresponding support projects cover kindergartens, primary schools, middle schools, vocational schools and other school sections.
