Zhang Daqian's famous painting "Mi Jiang", Kusama Yayoi's "Pumpkin", Mornet's "Little Ellie's Cape", Jacometti's bronze sculpture "Dai Yagao Bust"... Tomorrow, the "cultural relics and artworks section" created for the first time at this expo will be officially unveiled, and heavy works will be gathered.
This year, Christie's, Sotheby's, Fuyi and other three major auction houses from all over the world gathered at the Expo, and figure paintings, landscape paintings and sculptures from Chinese and foreign artists also came to the scene, bringing a visual feast to the audience. So far, a total of 20 overseas institutions, including Christie's, Sotheby's and Ferguson's, have confirmed their participation in the exhibition, with an exhibition area of more than 1,200 square meters, 178 declared exhibits, and a total value of more than 2.3 billion yuan.
"Wei Jiang" is one of Zhang Daqian's publicly handed down paintings, depicting the mountain scenery of Mount Qingcheng in Chengdu, and is recognized by the art community.
"Pumpkin" is a large-scale sculpture created by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, which is more than 3 meters long, wide and high, and the package weight is 1320kg. This "big guy" from the warehouse loading, completing a series of inspection procedures, to passing through the customs bayonet to the Expo site, the whole process is completed within 24 hours.
