Soon after Darwin proposed the theory of evolution, the statement that man evolved from monkeys was very imprecise, as if two branches grew on the same tree and we say that one of them evolved from another. Although humans and monkeys are primates, humans belong to the human family, while monkeys belong to the monkey family, that is, humans and monkeys are actually two "branches" on the "evolutionary tree", which are independent of each other and cannot be said who evolved into whom.
So we should say to those who hold this view, please, don't say that man evolved from monkeys, we can only say that humans and monkeys have a common ancestor. So how did humans evolve? Scientists tell us that the evolutionary process of human beings is actually like this.
Ever since dinosaurs disappeared from the earth, mammals have begun to develop rapidly, and one of them evolved into the common ancestor of humans and monkeys, primates, which probably look like this.
It can be seen that the limbs of this animal already have the feeling of primates, and in the subsequent evolutionary process, the primates have diverged, and one of them has evolved into a proto-monkey suborder, and now the lemurs on the earth belong to the proto-monkey suborder (as shown in the figure below).
The other evolved into the suborder Homonyx (also known as the Homonodorum), which began to evolve to a larger body and a stronger body, and in the next evolutionary process, the suborder Ofonoids differentiated into broad-nosed and narrow-nosed suborders, and now the New World Monkeys on Earth belong to the broad-nosed suborder (as shown in the figure below).
It should be noted that the monkeys we often say refer to the monkeys, that is, on the road of evolution, monkeys and humans are officially "separated" here, so we cannot say that humans evolved from monkeys.
The ape family was already able to move semi-upright, gradually degenerating its tail, becoming stronger, and increasing brain capacity, and over time some of them evolved into the current gibbon family (as shown in the figure below), while the other part evolved into the human family.
Don't think that the evolution into humanoids is "human", in fact, the humanoids that appeared on the earth at that time were still far from humans, and according to the existing fossil evidence, scientists speculated that they should look similar to the red orangutans we see now.
Next, the human family diverged into the orangutan subfamily, the above-mentioned orangutans are the orangutan subfamily, and the other branch is the human subfamily. The human subfamily still cannot be called "human", because the human subfamily has divided into gorillas and human races, and the gorillas called "Kongo" belong to the gorilla family.
There is also an "outlier" in the Human race, that is, chimpanzees, which are the last species to part ways with humans on the road of evolution, which shows that of all species on earth, chimpanzees are the closest species to humans (studies have shown that chimpanzees and humans are genetically similar to more than 98.8%).
After the differentiation of chimpanzees, the remaining Terrans continued to advance on the path of evolution, so that the earth eventually appeared human sub-species, and in the following time, human sub-animals evolved a variety of "people", but unfortunately, except for "Homo erectus", other "people" were eliminated by cruel natural selection, such as the "Bao's Pony" shown in the picture below.
The brain capacity of "Homo erectus" is already very large, they can make tools, know how to work in teams, firmly established themselves in nature, and when their numbers develop to a certain scale, "Homo erectus" begins to migrate around the world, and gradually evolves a variety of human coexistence situations around the world.

Among these humans, however, only the late Homo sapiens, the immediate ancestors of our modern humans, laughed to the end, and with their high intelligence (and possibly excellent luck), they eliminated the last kind of human being on earth besides themselves, the Neanderthals, and achieved a splendid earth civilization step by step.

All in all, although the above is only a "simplified" version of the evolutionary process of human beings, we can still clearly see that humans and monkeys are actually two different species that evolved from ancient animals, so we can only say that humans and monkeys have a common ancestor, and we cannot say that humans evolved from monkeys.
