Recently, Xu Jie, a Jiading player who won the first place in the desktop publishing project in the 6th National Vocational Skills Competition for the Disabled in 2019, was awarded the title of "National Technical Expert" by the Ministry of Chinese Resources and Social Security.
How did Xu Jie, a 42-year-old with a first-degree hearing disability, achieve a "counterattack" in life?
Xu Jie was born in 1980, and at the age of two, he lost his hearing in both ears due to improper medication with a high fever, which affected his later language communication ability. However, he did not stagnate, and after becoming an adult, he worked hard to become a strong person in life.
In high school, Xu Jie began to contact the art major. In the silent world, Xu Jie can only use his eyes and heart to watch others draw, learn techniques, and when he encounters difficult places, he consults the teacher. Relying on hard work and dedication to his profession, he was admitted to the Department of Art and Design of Shanghai University of Technology, and then continued to study at the School of Fine Arts of Shanghai University. After graduation, he entered the advertising design industry, returned to Jiading in 2015, and is currently working as the chief creative designer of Shanghai Yutong Advertising Media Company.
In the company, Xu Jie is the head of the department, but also a recognized business expert, accept the task never pick and choose, fully devoted to the work, often work all day, overtime is commonplace. After years of precipitation and accumulation, Xu Jie's design skills have also matured day by day.

Later, she found out that she was wrong, because every time she communicated, Xu Jie would give her professional answers and come up with a better plan, "He would track each work, often ask us how a project was going, what problems needed his help, very responsible." ”
Although Xu Jie's world is silent, it does not affect his enthusiasm for business research in the slightest. In the Sixth National Vocational Skills Competition for the Disabled, he must complete the packaging production within the specified time for the first time to participate in the national competition, and make three-dimensional renderings, image processing, folding creative design, digital publishing 4 contents, each step can not be sloppy. In the end, he won the championship with a high score of 96.6. Xu Jie said that the test of print advertising design work is the judgment of composition and the recognition of beauty, and he likes to be quiet, so he can especially sink his heart to study.
Xu Jie's works have also been recognized by society. In the propaganda work of "creating a city" in Jiading District and celebrating the centenary of the founding of the party, posters and propaganda brochures he designed often appeared in the streets and alleys of Jiading. This year, Xu Jie was awarded the honorary title of "Jiading District Skill Pacesetter".
Xu Jie, who has always been optimistic and self-reliant, is still a travel expert. With a camera and an aerial camera, he has traveled to Route 66 in the United States, photographed the Emerald Lake in Qinghai and the "Devil's Eye" in Aiken Springs, and recorded the beautiful sunrise at Monlian Lake in Canada... So far, his photographic works have won more than 25 awards, and in 2018, he was elected as the vice president of the Shanghai Deaf Photography Society, and is now a member of the Shanghai Photographers Association and a national second-level photography technician.
