[Comments]: Netizens said that this novel is "Absolute Scream" + "White Night", I quite agree, overall, the second part of the depiction is more unique, but there is still room for improvement in terms of skills and plot.

As i would like to know in advance, the following contains spoilers from Usami Makoto's Death of a Fool, and readers are asked to decide whether to read it at their own discretion.
Detectives who have read this book can review the plot with me.
The novel is divided into three acts: The Shadow of Musashino, Chikutomo Elegy, and Izumimi. In the narrative style of POV, along with the perspective of young leaves, young Ximei, and elderly Ximei (leaves), many cases and the individual experiences of the characters are interspersed.
The first time to appear is 2015, the character is an old woman, her health is somewhat conditioned but settled in a high-end nursing home, in her self-report we learn that she seems to have committed some murder.
"What I am facing is the sea and my own past."
This sentence, which ends the chapter, hints at the dark side of the old woman, and then goes back in time to the spring of 1985.
The story unfolds from The leaf's point of view, she is introduced by the employment agency to apply for a job, but accidentally meets Ishikawa Ximi, who has the same birthday as herself. The two became friends after they met each other, but both had secrets they didn't want to reveal.
At this point, we don't know who will be the murderer, what the motives will be, who will be the deceased, and even the murder has not yet happened, but the signs are gradually revealed.
Ye Zi is a tragic figure, her sister and brother-in-law committed suicide in debt, leaving a seemingly demented nephew, Tatsuya, which makes Ye Zi's life very difficult, partly because her sister's old creditor may find her to force her to pay debt, on the other hand, she is alone to take care of her nephew and struggle to survive.
At that time, Ximei, who wanted to find a job, was very neat and generous after plastic surgery, and by the way, she introduced Ye Zi to work at a rich family, and there were two core figures in that rich family, one was Namba-sensei, who could be said to be the son-in-law of the rich, and the other was Mr. Yukio, the stepson of Namba's teacher.
This story is not complicated to say, Namba's wife, Yoshiko, is a rich family, but Yoshiko, as a rich man, loved a non-person at the beginning, and only found out the problem after marrying against her parents' wishes.
Because the ex-husband's family fell into extreme superstition, the rich qianjin Jiashizi and the ex-husband divorced after having a child, and the child was taken away by the man. After Namba-sensei and Mrs. Yoshiko married, they did not have children, but later Yoshiko fell seriously ill and missed the child in particular, so the lawyer hoped to get him back.
The child was found by Kato's lawyer and eventually identified as the heir to the family estate.
Here the author actually carefully laid the groundwork, is Yukifu really the son of Jia Shizi? Could kato find a Lee ghost?
However, Kato has very little ink in the novel, and Yuki is indeed a conscientious young talent, and as soon as he takes over the company, he will make the industry bigger and stronger, so it is easy for readers to let go of this possible doubt.
At first, readers tend to lock yezi as the last offender, because she does have a motive for committing the crime. After entering the Namba family as a maid, she gradually fell in love with Mr. Yukio and wanted Tokio to become Tatsuya's father (this is a bit too obvious), but on the one hand, she was particularly disgusted with the burden of her nephew, and even wanted to abandon Tatsuya several times.
And she also found a secret, it seems that Mr. QiFu and his girlfriend Ximei have a connection, the relationship may not be ordinary, it is reasonable to say that Ximei is young and beautiful, is the secretary of the law firm, and Yufu is the CEO of the enterprise, the two seem to be more compatible.
What's more, once again she saw Tatsuya in a quagmire but could not be saved, thinking that her nephew was dead, it was a hundred, and it just so happened that Namba Sensei saw it and sacrificed her life to save Tatsuya, but she did not pierce the disguise of the leaf.
So will the jealousy of her girlfriend, the dislike of her nephew, and the shame of Namba-sensei become the motivation for her crime? This is the guanzi that the author sold at the beginning.
At the end of the first act of the novel, Kato's lawyer helps Leaf solve the rogue creditor who chased after the door, thus gaining her trust and favor. One day, Kato suddenly appeared in his car and beckoned Leaf to get on the bus, and the story came to an abrupt end.
The protagonist of the second part of the novel, Chikutomo Elegy, instantly becomes Hiromi. So reading this, sensitive readers should understand that this is the real protagonist of the murder.
She was born into an unemployed miner's family, her mother abandoned the family, her father lost her mind, and the family relied on her sister Ximei to arrange to rely on low insurance. Moreover, there is also a local money lender, Zhu Zhang, who has repeatedly colluded with the poor to squeeze the poor.
So many people who see here should immediately realize that the real murderer of the novel is Ximei, and the person who the author at the beginning of the story mistook to think that it was Yezi was actually Ximei.
Therefore, some netizens said that this is a remake of "Absolute Scream" (refer to the protagonist who stole beams and changed pillars in Ye Zhenzhong's "Absolute Scream").
At the beginning of the second part of the novel, time back to 1965, mr. Kifu, lawyer Kato, and Ishikawa Himemi all go back to the past and become an abandoned baby who was adopted by an old woman, a perverted college student who likes to manipulate people, and Ximi, who works hard for a broken family.
Ximei and Xiaoyong are neighbors of the mine, and Xiaoyong's mother committed suicide after Xiaoyong was born, but according to the information revealed by her mother-in-law, in fact, his mother was violated by Takejo before giving birth to Xiaoyong, and finally she could not bear to commit suicide. Therefore, Xiao Yong has a different hatred for Takejo, who is the biological father but also a bully.
Ximei had no motive at first, but her demented father was provoked one night and went so dazed that he approached his second daughter, who resembled his wife. This made Ximei kill, and begged Xiao Yong to help try to get Takejo to kill his father, the two fought, his father was estimated to be killed, and Takejo would also be captured.
This is the root of all the cases, Xiao Yong finally implemented the plan, Xi Mei's father did die, but Takejo also disappeared (in fact, secretly killed and buried by Xiao Yong), and Xiao Yong was seen by the empty shell with an improper heart when he buried the body, so he fell into the handle.
Coincidentally, Xiao Yong and Takejo left scars in hand-to-hand combat, and Yoshiko's son Yukifu also had scars in the corners of his eyes. So the empty shell manipulated Xiao Yong to come to a tanuki cat for a prince, and set up a law firm, and began to accumulate wealth and power by attaching to the family business of the rich.
At the same time, he also controls Himemi by his side as a slave and doll for his desires.
It can be said that in the novel, Namba Sensei is the only one who can see the situation clearly, he knows that Yukio is fake, but in order to make Yoshiko wish, he still accepts him, of course, he gradually sees the true face of Kato, and is about to take action, but he is killed by Kato first, and during his lunch break, he is assassinated by Kato in a closed way with a book wall (he has claustrophobia and will also promote heart attack).
In order to get out of the predicament and avenge The Wave Teacher, Xiao Yong manipulates Kato's car, and Kato takes leaves with him when he is in a hurry to drive away, accidentally causing the death of innocent people (both of them fell off a cliff due to the loss of control of the car).
Because Ximei had lent Yezi a medical insurance card, the police mistakenly thought that it was Ximei who died, so they rightfully recognized Ximei as a leaf, and finally Da was also sent away, while Ximei and Xiaoyong survived with guilt.
However, in the third part, Tatsuya grows up to become Watanabe, interns at a nursing home (in fact, to find Ximi and Yukio to avenge, after all, Yezi was killed by them), he designs to drown Mr. Yukio disguised by Xiao Yong, although this plot is a bit "not necessary", but at least it becomes the main plot of Izu Minkai.
Strictly speaking, the first part of this novel is procrastinating, the third part is chicken ribs, only the second part is relatively brilliant, and the character of the empty shell is relatively plump, but after becoming Kato, the character expression is weak, which is a pity.
However, from the perspective of the identity swap between YeZi and Ximei, the writing method of POV can make the reader feel cheated, and the part of the mine is indeed more vivid, and all kinds of characters are more vivid and real, from these points, the readability of the novel is still there.
And as a typical social reasoning work, the plot of the big heroine is still more appropriate at the moment, first exposing the poverty of the poor and oppressed by many forces, and then interpreting the female story of being used and manipulated by the evil people to take care of the family and protect the lover (in this regard, this book is very similar to "Scream", and the two novels not only change the identity plot, but even the plot of the car accident and the cliff is somewhat similar).
In general, although the integrity of the novel is acceptable, there is still some room for improvement in character mining and plot design. In my opinion, it belongs to the imitation of the standard after "Scream" and "White Night", I don't know what you think of those who like to read speculative fiction?
