Recently, the results of the 12th Beijing Colleges and Universities Young Teachers' Teaching Basic Skills Competition (Medical) were announced, and Peking University People's Hospital set a record for the best results.
The six participating young teachers won a total of 3 first prizes and 3 second prizes, of which three teachers ranked in the top 10 in Beijing. Peking University People's Hospital has always attached great importance to education and teaching work and the training of young and middle-aged teachers. Since 1985, the hospital has held a competition on the basic teaching skills of young and middle-aged teachers, which has been carried out for 26 sessions so far, becoming a hospital clinical teaching brand project, an effective means to deepen the reform of education and teaching, improving the teaching level, and becoming a broad stage to encourage young teachers to grow rapidly and show the talents of young teachers.
This activity has made a group of young teachers stand out, and has now become the academic leader and backbone of the hospital, and has given birth to dozens of award-winning teachers in the Basic Teaching Skills Competition for Young and Middle-aged Teachers in Beijing and Peking University, which has played a leading and promoting role in promoting the overall improvement of the teaching level of young and middle-aged teachers in the hospital and creating a good teaching environment.
The hospital attaches great importance to this time, the Education Department and the trade union are fully mobilized and carefully organized, and the participating departments are fully engaged, and after the preliminary round, the second round, the final and the selection competition of the College, as well as the selection of the Youth Education Competition of the Ministry of Medicine, and finally Zhao Yixin of the Department of Otolaryngology, Liu Fan of gastrointestinal surgery, Wu Yun of the Department of Gastroenterology, Liang Shuting of Ophthalmology, Wang Qi of Urology, and Yao Yuou of the Department of Ophthalmology, 6 teachers stood out and participated in the Beijing Youth Education Competition.
After multi-party research, comprehensive planning, combined with the actual situation of the hospital, the hospital explores the preparation path, and refines and implements each work with an attitude of excellence: formulates the preparation time plan, assists in the design of board books, teaching aids, videos, PPT, etc., and simulates the competition site as much as possible in order to achieve perfection.
The hospital invites famous teachers and experts in relevant professional fields and experts of the Youth Education Competition in the hospital to form a guidance expert group, and invites teachers such as Wang Huimin, Yu Lisheng, Zhang Yuanyuan, Yan Qi, Zhao Mingwei, Zhang Qin, etc. with rich teaching experience to serve as the chief guidance teachers of the contestants, from the aspects of daily work coordination, preparation course content, resource provision and other aspects to support and serve the contestants, and to provide all-round guidance for the teaching content, classroom design, on-site display, posture image, and sound performance of the participating teachers. In one and a half months, a total of 3 training sessions and 4 rounds of simulated trial lectures were organized.
In the end, the teaching design of the contestants was wonderful, the teaching display during the competition was full of emotion, the speech was very infectious, and the good result of the historic breakthrough was achieved.
