With the theme of "Authenticity and Regeneration", the artists of Shanghai Concert Hall and Shanghai Xinyi National Chamber Orchestra have been painstakingly polishing and innovating, exploring the essence and "new sound" of Chinese music, and providing a year-round exquisite folk music feast for "Linglong" old friends and Shanghai folk music lovers.
Back to basics, back to the truth
In this season's 10 "Linglong Chinese Music" concerts, we base ourselves on each instrument in the national chamber music, read their history, development and cultural connotations with the audience, and listen to the unique sounds of each instrument.

In March, the "Zhengya Regeneration" Guzheng Theme Concert invited artists from the "21 Zheng Troupe" and five guzhengs gathered on the "Linglong" stage to bring the first guzheng ensemble and ensemble concert. Interpret the "alpine flowing water" and "hundred flowers and shadows" under different kite schools and different regions. In May, at the "Ruan Le Regeneration" concert, Zhang Xiaodong, master of Shanghai Conservatory of Music and doctor of ancient Chinese music history, brought the Tang Dynasty restoration of Ruan, leading the audience to listen to the voices from the Tang Dynasty. In addition, the Xinyi performers also showed ruan's "crazy" and melodious timbre and tension to the audience through the extremely technical and difficult "Second Nguyen Concerto" and the ethnic minority style "Long Distance Song" and "Yunnan Memories".

In addition to bringing the original folk music to the audience, the artists of Linglong Chinese Music have always adhered to the spirit of passionate exploration, adapted and extended the classic works, and integrated them into the inspiration and ingenuity that flashed throughout the rehearsals, giving the works a new interest. At the same time, it also keeps up with the trend of the times and uses ancient instruments to interpret the current popular repertoire.
In January, the theme concert of "Return and Regeneration", newly arranged by pipa and guzheng players, retains the fresh elegance of the original melody, with richer harmonies and playing techniques. Like a long scroll of landscapes with delicate brushwork and soft colors, the scenery of the moonlight is clear, sparkling, and the return of the fisherman slowly unfolds in front of the audience. In April, the dulcimer theme concert brought the audience the dulcimer version of "Dedicated to Alice" and the musical "Notre Dame de Paris" excerpt "Diamond Eyes", the familiar melody met the familiar piano sound, but collided with a new auditory feeling.
In July, the theme of the huqin is to sing the first red classic song with the sound of the huqin. In June, the theme concert of "Thriving and Regenerating" and the theme concert of Pipa in August were arranged and designed by the artists, and many familiar mythological stories, animations and anime repertoire elements were arranged in tandem, and the dynamic images of each frame were transformed into a moving melody, taking us back to the memories of our youth.

Another feature of this season's "Linglong Chinese Music" is that different styles of dance scenes were designed and presented in the first half of the year. In October, the theme concert of "Flute Rhyme and Regeneration" ushered in another new stage beauty. The staggered rockeries echo with the old trees nearby, just like the courtyard of the literati, and several old friends are composing poems and music under the moon. Flute players played "Bamboo Branch Words" among the beautiful scenery, depicting the imagery of "frozen bamboo", "rain bamboo" and "wind bamboo" in this song. Everyone who comes to the "Exquisite Chinese Music" can enjoy the viewing, can close and listen, and everywhere the eyes and ears go, it is a scenery.
