"Midsummer" (original debut)
Text/Wang Yulong
Midsummer in May
The heat is an absolute staple
I walked aimlessly
My shirt was soaking wet
But I'm not going to wipe the sweat
A hot wind
Shrouded in everything
Sunburned everything
thereupon
The world fell silent
But it can't stop it
High-pitched cicada chirping
and
Children's play by the water's edge
I walked to the water's edge
Sit under a big willow tree
Quietly admire
A stone thrown into the water by a child
Splashing with the surface of the water
Knowing that the screaming was even more intense
Silence is even more silent
Dusk has finally arrived
The children went home in pairs
I picked up a handful of water
Blow away
The wind brought me back
Thirty years ago
Summer vacation as a child
(The eleventh of june in the lunar calendar in the Year of the Ugly Ox)
