The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on the 15th that at 5 p.m. on the same day, the US Navy destroyer "Chafi" approached Russia's territorial waters and tried to cross the line. The Russian side warned the US warship that it was in the waters that were closed to navigation due to the Sino-Russian military exercises. The Associated Press quoted the Russian Defense Ministry as saying that after the warning was fruitless, the large anti-submarine ship "Admiral Tributs" of the Russian Pacific Fleet approached the "Chafi", and when the two ships were only more than 60 meters apart, the US warship changed course and quickly left. The U.S. government has yet to comment on the incident.
