Our army once captured a traitor, who was on the same level as the four marshals, but after the founding of the country, he was reported for a dollar, and four years later he died of illness in the hospital.

In 1952, the internal security department of the Yunnan Anning People's Liberation Army received reports from the masses that a doctor had called out to himself as a lieutenant general and division commander of the Nationalist Army when he had a dispute with others because of a one-dollar bet, and he wanted to exterminate the other party. The report quickly attracted the attention of the People's Liberation Army, which ordered the public security department to immediately intervene in the investigation. It is reported that the person who claimed to be a lieutenant general in the national army was a doctor named Zeng Fusheng at the Guanxiang Street Clinic in Lianran Town, but after interrogation, Zeng Fusheng always insisted that he was just talking angrily. Since the person did not behave in any other strange way and could not see anything unusual, the police eventually had to release him.
Soon after, the Internal Security Department received another document from an officer of the Nationalist Army, which claimed that he had met Kong Hebao, the commander of the former Lieutenant General of the Provisional 54th Division of the Nationalist Army, while conducting his work in Anning. This information soon attracted the attention of the internal security department to Zeng Fusheng, and the People's Liberation Army deeply realized that this person was absolutely unusual.
It should be known that Kong Hepeng was not only a lieutenant general in the Nationalist Army, he was also a high-ranking traitor to the Red Army. During the Long March of the Red Army, Kong Hepet served as a member of the Central Committee, and was at the same level as Mr. Peng, Mr. He, Mr. Lin, and Xu Shuai, and later he was dealt with by the central authorities for making a mistake and defected to the enemy. After Kong Hepet defected, he informed the Kuomintang of a large number of secrets of our army, which also caused our army to suffer a major blow.
After linking Kong Hepet and Zeng Fusheng, the internal security department sent personnel to closely monitor Zeng Fusheng's every move, but any of this person's actions were very strict and careful, so the People's Liberation Army could not find any flaws for a while. After another two full years, Zeng Fusheng still did not show the fox's tail, and finally the Ministry of Internal Security decided not to wait any longer and took the initiative to attack.
Soon, the PLA arrested Zeng Fusheng, but when he was examined, he still showed great composure and was not afraid of the PLA's interrogation. In the end, the leaders of our army directly asked him: Do you remember that there was a member of the Red Army with the surname Kong? It was these words that made Zeng Fusheng realize that his identity had been exposed, and under the questioning of the People's Liberation Army, he finally had to confess as much as possible. After being imprisoned, Kong Soon fell seriously ill and was sent to the hospital for treatment, until 4 years later, he died of a serious illness.
