Apple stopped providing hardware support for the fourth-generation iPad released in 2012

According to an internal memo, Apple has listed the fourth-generation iPad as an obsolete product since Nov. 1, meaning the device is no longer eligible for hardware support worldwide. But the fourth-generation iPad hasn't been added to Apple's list of vintage and obsolete products for the public, but it should be added soon.

The fourth-generation iPad was released in November 2012 alongside the original iPad mini, eliminating Apple's classic 30-pin connector and adopting the Lightning connector that debuted on the iPhone 5 released that same year. The fourth-generation iPad has built-in Apple's A6X chip, and its CPU performance is twice that of the third-generation iPad's A5X chip, which was launched in March 2012, and its graphics performance is also twice as high.

According to the memo, Apple also listed the Mac mini of the late 2012 model as a phased-out product.
