However, with the enhancement of Xi'an's absorption capacity, thousands of pets have been gathered in one, so that the charm of Cities such as Baoji, Weinan, Tongchuan, and Shangzhou around Xi'an has been relatively weakened, commercial opportunities have decreased, and the momentum of economic development has stalled. From a broad perspective, highlighting the core city functions of Greater Xi'an is beneficial to balancing the economic development level of the central and western regions and implementing the national urban and economic development strategy, but based on the provincial conditions, the balanced development of various regions and the expansion and strengthening of the regional economy are still issues that must be considered.

With the current situation of Greater Xi'an, the westward expansion has been limited by Xianyang, the southern expansion has been limited by the Qinling Mountains, the northward expansion has been limited by geographical conditions and cultural relics protection, and there are still conditions for eastward expansion in the spatial area. In the long run, the supply of land for urban development is tight, and the development mode of spreading out the pie has gradually become unsustainable, and it has become a realistic possibility to evacuate urban functions and build satellite domain cities. In recent years, Xi'an has successively increased the development of Fuyan and Zhou Zhijixian, both as a last resort and as a concept of exploring the development of satellite cities. Yangling Demonstration Zone has unique time, location, people, if you can catch this free ride, it is very good.
First, Yangling west to Baoji about 80 kilometers, east to Xi'an 70 kilometers, basically in the Guanzhong Plain two core city centers also belt, around 60 or 70 kilometers there is no large city, fully conditioned to develop into a million people of large cities, can enrich the connotation of Guanzhong city group, relieve the urban functions of Greater Xi'an.
Second, the Zhouzhi, Wugong, and Fufeng counties around Yangling are far from the prefecture-level cities of Xi'an, Xianyang, and Baoji, and although they are in the center of the Guanzhong Plain, the economic development and urban construction level are not satisfactory, and they have become the tail of the county of the three plains. The four places are connected by land and water, integrated development, and hugging the group for heating is not necessarily a good thing. Today, the eastern edge of Yangling City is only three kilometers away from the western edge of WugongCheng District, the southern edge of WugongCheng District is only six or seven kilometers away from the northern edge of Zhouzhicheng District, and if the urban construction of the three places develops in a direction (Wugong to the south to the west, Yangling to the east, and Zhou to the north), if the prefecture-level Yangling City is established, the policy is supported by the central and provincial governments, absorbing Xi'an's low value-added industries, focusing on the development of agriculture and agricultural processing, food and beverage, pharmaceutical and environmental protection industries, it only takes more than ten years, it is entirely possible to establish a population of more than one million between Xi'an and Baoji. Medium-sized cities with a GDP of more than 100 billion yuan have become a model for the coordinated economic development of Guanzhong County.
Third, the integrated development of Yangling and surrounding counties is conducive to making good use of and developing the golden signboard of "National Agricultural Science and Technology Demonstration Zone", and making good use of the talents and agricultural science and technology resources of Northwest A&F University. Today's Yangling, with an area of only 135 square kilometers and a permanent population of only 220,000 people (2019), has the advantages of industrial development resources and the region is actually typical of elephants dancing at the table. After the integrated development of the four places, its population will expand to 1.3 million, and the total area will expand to 42 million square kilometers, which can effectively undertake and support Yangling's current resource advantages into industrial transformation.
