Founded in 1969, the International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC) is the world's most prestigious wine and spirits competition, and the awards in this competition are considered the highest accolades in the industry.

At present, the results of the 2021 International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC) Champagne (Champagne) group have been released, and a total of 16 champagnes have won mouth-watering gold awards. Here's a quick look:

12% ABV by alcohol, $221, elegant floral notes of orange blossom, sandalwood, dried apricot, meringue, licorice and bergamot. On the palate there are hints of plum, plum paste, mango, cocoa and licorice. Try pairing champagne with white meat or smoked salmon.

Founded in 1976, Ligofia is one of the largest champagne brands in the growing cooperatives, one of the largest Champagne producers in France, with more than 5,000 growers supplying it with grapes. The official tasting record describes the fresh and bright champagne with a faint hint of curry leaf lead. Cashews, citric acid and baked apple pie are intertwined for a fruity twist. The wine is balanced and beautiful to drink.

Co-op Les Pionniers Brut 2012, produced by the Piper Heidsieck facility in Reims, with an alcohol content of 12% ABV and priced at $35, the official tasting instructions describe this golden champagne as a stable product with a balanced taste, with sweet biscuits, crepe, yellow plums and honeydew melons. The aftertaste is roasted burdock, which is extremely complex.
