A family of three members of the US military stationed in South Korea was killed in a car accident

According to the Yonhap News Agency, on the evening of the 1st local time, in Pyeongtaek City, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, a car driven by US troops stationed in South Korea collided head-on with a trailer, causing 3 deaths and 1 serious injury. The accident occurred at about 11:05 p.m. on the 1st, when a 28-year-old U.S. military in South Korea, carrying his wife and a 1-year-old toddler, hit a trailer head-on during a sharp turn. The car caught fire, and three members of the US military family in South Korea died on the spot. The trailer driver suffered a fractured lower body and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

South Korean police said it was speculated that the U.S. military in South Korea crossed the Yellow Solid Line due to speeding or unskilled driving, and planned to conduct autopsies on the 3 dead. As the car's dashcam burned out, the police will retrieve the dashcams of other vehicles to investigate the specific cause of the accident.
