According to Wang Jingxian, deputy director of the second division of venue construction of the Planning and Construction Department of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, the facility manager of the ancient poplar stadium group, and the facility manager of the National Ski Jumping Center, the Zhangjiakou competition area where "Snow Ruyi" is located belongs to the continental monsoon climate and is windy in winter, but the excellent natural conditions of "Snow Ruyi", exquisite design and construction, and the "blessing" of science and technology enable it to reduce the wind speed to less than 2 meters per second during the race, successfully overcome the influence of the wind, and ensure the athletes' competition performance and the comfort of the audience.

According to reports, the venue where "Snow Ruyi" is located is particularly suitable for ski jumping. Viewed from above, the mountain takes the shape of a bowl, containing "snow ruyi" in the valley, which shields or attenuates most of the dominant winter winds. At the same time, in May 2018, according to the suggestions of the experts of the International Snow Federation, the direction of the "Snow Ruyi" jump platform was also adjusted once, and the adjustment of the big jump platform itself can also be windproof, and the windproof effect formed by the standard platform is better.
In addition, in order to achieve the best windproof effect, the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee also hired the Austrian Alpina company (an enterprise recommended by the International Snow Federation that specializes in ski jumping windproof nets), collected the meteorological data of the ancient poplar tree stadium group where "Xue Ruyi" is located, and used a computer model to simulate the wind environment of the site, and then set up 5 windproof nets in the corresponding location around "Xue Ruyi" according to the simulation results.
