According to Xinhua News Agency, on 1 November, the first plenary session of the 11th Anhui Provincial Committee of the CPC elected Zheng Zhajie as secretary of the provincial party committee, Wang Qingxian and Cheng Lihua (female) as deputy secretaries of the provincial party committee, and Zhang Ximing, Liu Haiquan, Liu Hui, Yu Aihua, Zhang Yunsheng, Ding Xiangqun (female), Guo Qiang, Zhang Hongwen, and Wang Yiguang, who were also elected as members of the standing committee of the provincial party committee.
The Jimu News reporter noted that Zhang Hongwen and Wang Yiguang are the newly appointed members of the Standing Committee of the Anhui Provincial CPC Committee. Zhang Hongwen, a "post-75" who has been working in the aerospace system for a long time, was selected as the 2014 annual scientific and technological innovation figure of the CCTV "Science and Technology Festival". Wang Yiguang has been working in Anhui and has rich grassroots work experience, serving as the mayor of Bozhou City and the secretary of the Municipal Party Committee.

Public information shows that Zhang Hongwen, born in April 1975, a native of Chengcheng, Shaanxi, has a postgraduate degree, a doctorate in engineering, and a researcher. Before being transferred to Anhui, Zhang Hongwen had been working in China Aerospace Science and Industry.

In September 2020, Zhang Hongwen was transferred to the vice governor of Anhui Province. Zhang Hongwen has worked in aerospace systems for 24 years, and was the president of the Third Academy, deputy secretary of the party committee and chief researcher of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, and deputy general manager of China Aerospace Science and Industry Group Co., Ltd.

Zhang Hongwen was named the 2014 Annual Scientific and Technological Innovation Figure of the CCTV "Science and Technology Festival", and yuan longping and Li Lanjuan were awarded together with him. According to public information, Wang Yiguang, born in March 1965, a native of Tongcheng, Anhui Province, began his career in July 1984, joined the Communist Party of China in April 1988, and has a postgraduate degree from the Party School of the Provincial Party Committee.
Wang Yiguang has been working in Anhui Province, once worked as a high school teacher, and his resume is mainly in Anqing and Bozhou. Wang Yiguang has worked in Bozhou for 15 years, serving as mayor of Bozhou and other positions, and in March 2016, he was appointed secretary of the Bozhou Municipal Party Committee.
In September 2020, Wang Yiguang, then secretary of the Bozhou Municipal Party Committee, went to the Municipal Bureau of Letters and Visits to publicly receive a visit from the masses.
Wang Yiguang received a total of 5 batches of 12 visits from the masses, involving issues such as postponement of housing delivery, destruction of green and illegal construction, land requisition and demolition, and ancestral property rights. Wang Yiguang enthusiastically and earnestly listened to the demands reflected by the visiting masses, carefully recorded the problems reflected by the masses, carefully read the materials, inquired about the situation from time to time, and worked with the responsible comrades of the relevant municipal departments to study the ideas and methods for solving the problem.

Around August 2021, Wang Yiguang was transferred to the deputy director of the Organization Department of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee until this new appointment.
Prior to Anhui, the three provinces (autonomous regions) of Xinjiang, Henan and Shanxi had elected a new leading group of party committees in this round of provincial-level party committees.
