On the afternoon of October 31, the 2021 Ningbo Municipal Staff Farm Cooking Skills Elite Competition, sponsored by the Ningbo Federation of Trade Unions and undertaken by the Yuyao Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, was held at the Moushan Lake Fishing Center, and 28 first-line culinary elites from Ningbo City competed on the same stage to compete in the cooking competition. Qiu Zhibo, senior culinary technician of the Catering Management Department of Zhejiang Jetta Property Service Company, won the third prize of the Ningbo Staff Farm Cooking Skills Elite Competition!
The competition includes both a theoretical exam and a practical exercise, in which the actual operation consists of two prescribed dishes and a dish of your choice. Experienced culinary experts were invited to serve as judges, and the contestants' knife skills and cooking techniques were comprehensively scored from the aspects of color, aroma and taste.
At 12:00 noon, the practical competition officially began. The first dish is the prescribed dish white chopped chicken, Qiu Zhibo cut a white chopped chicken into 4 parts, 4 parts are neatly knifed, plate-like steamed buns, beautiful shape. The second course is prescribed to burst cuttlefish flowers, which requires dishes to resemble ears of wheat, white in color, crisp and tender, and tightly wrapped in sauce. Qiu Zhibo moved quickly and skillfully, and the same ingredients turned into dishes with full color and flavor in his hands.
In the self-selected dish session, the contestants fried, fried, cooked and fried, using the "eighteen martial arts" and showing their housekeeping skills. Shrimp tofu dumplings, yellow fish dumplings with cabbage, coral shrimp balls... In the dish display area, a series of exquisitely made dishes are served one by one, which makes people dazzled.
Qiu Zhibo is a senior culinary technician in the catering management department of Zhejiang Jetta Property Service Company, who has been engaged in the chef industry for more than 30 years, and he has made an authentic farmhouse dish in the self-selection session - dish name: coral shrimp balls, selected shrimp, cheng noodles, salted egg yolk, a pot full of aroma, mouth-watering, won the unanimous praise of the judges.
