Qing Muzong Ai Xinjue Luo Zaichun (April 27, 1856 – January 12, 1875) was the tenth emperor of the Qing Dynasty and the eighth emperor after the Qing capital Beijing, with the era name "Tongzhi". He was the eldest son of Emperor Xianfeng of the Qing Dynasty, and his biological mother was Empress Xiaoqinxian of the Yehenara clan. He reigned from 1861 to 1875 for a total of 13 years.

On March 23 of the sixth year of Xianfeng (1856) (April 27 of the Gregorian calendar), the Tongzhi Emperor was born in chuxiu palace in the Forbidden City of Beijing. Xianfeng ascended the throne in the eleventh year (1861). During the reign of Emperor Tongzhi, the Qing government relied on a number of important ministers such as Zeng Guofan, Li Hongzhang, and Zuo Zongtang to suppress the Taiping Rebellion. In the fourth year of Tongzhi (1865), the Manchu mongol cavalry (Eight Banner Soldiers) of the monk Gelinqin was completely annihilated after the ambush, and Lai Yangwu sent Zuo Zongtang and Li Hongzhang to destroy the western and eastern twists respectively, and the rebellion of the twisting army lasted until the seventh year of Tongzhi (1868). During his reign, the Qing Dynasty successively quelled the Shaanxi-Gansu Hui Rebellion, the Yunnan Huimin Uprising, and the Guizhou Miaomin Uprising. At the same time, the New Deal on Foreign Affairs was established, and a period of political stability appeared in the late Qing Dynasty, known in history as "Tongzhi Zhongxing". In the twelfth year of Tongzhi (1873), the Tongzhi Emperor was pro-government. However, Zaichun's pro-government was still difficult to escape the intervention of Empress Dowager Cixi. Empress Dowager Cixi ordered Emperor Tongzhi to repair the Yuanmingyuan for his residence, and Emperor Tongzhi also wanted to use the method of restoring the Yuanmingyuan to get the empress dowager out of the palace. However, at that time, the financial shortage and the Yuanmingyuan were seriously damaged, which was extremely unfavorable to the national economy and people's livelihood, and the repair cost was huge, which caused many opposition from the princes and ministers.

In the thirteenth year of Tongzhi (1874), on the fifth day of the first month of December (January 12, 1875 in the Gregorian calendar), he died at the Yangxin Hall of the Forbidden City in Beijing at the age of 19.
