On October 28-29, the second Sino-US Economic and Trade Forum of the European and American Returned Scholars Association with the theme of "New Challenges and New Opportunities for Sino-US Economic and Trade Cooperation - Empowering the Integrated Development of the Yangtze River Delta" was held in Baoshan, Shanghai. Professor Li Xiaodong, founder and director of Fuxi Think Tank, was invited to attend, and made a keynote speech entitled "Opportunities, Challenges and Development Strategies of Industrial Internet" at the closed-door meeting, and made a speech entitled "Finding a New Consensus on Sino-US Relations and Building a New Mechanism for Digital Economic and Trade Cooperation" at the parallel forum of "Sino-US Economic and Trade Cooperation in the Era of Digital Economy".

Professor Li Xiaodong believes that China and the United States are both big countries in the digital economy, and the current Sino-US relations are facing severe challenges, and it is necessary to find a new consensus on Sino-US cooperation, strengthen cooperation in technology and industry, and jointly cope with challenges in data governance, platform governance, and artificial intelligence governance. He suggested building a new mechanism for Sino-US digital economic and trade cooperation, effectively connecting their respective governments, enterprises, and academia, fully mobilizing non-governmental forces, and playing the role of think tanks as a bridge.
