In general, the longer the carbon chain of the aldehydes in the raw material, the higher the toughness and elasticity of the resin, but the heat resistance is reduced. The water solubility of polyvinyl alcohol acetal depends on the degree of polycondensation, and when the degree of acetal is 50%, it can be made into an aqueous solution. When the acetal content is very high, it can only be dissolved in organic solvents. Low acetal degree of polyvinyl alcohol formaldehyde in water solubility is very high, is a odorless, non-toxic, tasteless transparent aqueous solution, commonly known as 107 glue, used as wallpaper, wall cloth adhesive. It can also be incorporated into cement mortar for tiles, mosaics, interior floor coatings, interior wall coatings.
