There were many outstanding poets in the Tang Dynasty, some of them radiant, some of them lonely and nameless. Especially in the late Tang Dynasty, social unrest, talented people often left their hometowns, although life was difficult, but it gave poets more opportunities to understand the poor people.
These poets are rich in knowledge, and they go north and south, and over time they have a lot of understanding, so sometimes they will come to fruition, and even come to their fingertips, and freeze their thoughts and ideas in the lines of poetry. The following introduces a poem by Du Xunhe, which is just 20 words, but the language is shallow and deep, and it is more philosophical.

Tang Dynasty: Du Xunhe
The sea is shallow, and the villain is inch deep.
The sea withers eventually bottom out, and people die without knowing their hearts.
Du Xunhe was a famous poet of the late Tang Dynasty, his family was poor, and after middle age, he entered the priesthood and the first, but at first he had no chance to enter the career, so he had to return to his hometown and live in seclusion. His works mostly reflect the sufferings of the people, the ugly behavior of lashing, and also highlight the various contradictions of the princes at the end of the Tang Dynasty and the tragic experiences of the people.
The poet lamented that the situation was turbulent and people's hearts were not ancient, so he gave poems to express the sorrow in his heart. The general idea of the poem is: the vast sea is rough, but there will be a time to bottom out; the villain is good at calculation, and the heart is more difficult and unpredictable. When the sea runs out, the bottom is exposed; even if some people die, they may not be able to know their inner activity.
The poem is easy to understand, and the first two sentences use the Beeching technique, "The sea is shallow, and the villain is inch deep." "The poet contrasts the square inches of the villain through the waves of the sea, and expresses his view of the sinister human heart." The words "shallow and deep" form a sharp contrast, immediately turn abstraction into concreteness, give people the feeling that people's hearts have depth, and vividly expound the unfathomable truth of people's hearts.
Bai Juyi once wrote in the "Let It Down" that the test jade should be burned for three days, and the identification of materials must wait for seven years. Lotte believes that there are many things in nature that cannot be seen as they really are, and that they need to be smelted, calcined, and other means to identify their true materials and uses.
Therefore, in order to find out the true thoughts of a person's heart, it is also necessary to examine it for a long time. As the saying goes, the road knows the horsepower, and the years have discerned people's hearts.
The last two sentences are more thoroughly described, "The sea will eventually see the bottom, and people will not know their hearts when they die." "There are often strong winds and waves on the sea, but it can still be effectively predicted. However, the hidden inches is extremely deep, making it impossible to guess.
The poet feels that some people know the face and do not know the heart, and even disguise it extremely cleverly, like the chameleon in nature, which is unpredictable.
Liu Yuxi also lamented in his "Bamboo Branch Words" that long-hating people's hearts are not as good as water, and they wait for idle waves. The author has lived in Bashu for a period of time, is very familiar with qutang gorge, and often sees the terrifying waves of the canyon, but although the qutang gorge is dangerous, it can still be conquered, and the world may produce waves such as idle land, which is invincible.
This little poem by Du Xunhe is simple and easy to understand, but it is full of philosophy. There is not a single strange word in the four sentences, let alone any allusions, but the author adopts the contrast of images, expounds his own views and attitudes, and more euphemistically expresses the sorrow and indignation of the late Tang Dynasty society.
Since ancient times, when the saints die, they have said things that are balanced, and those who save the world have words that are more important, which can be overcorrected and can warn future generations. Du Caizi hopes that people will not repeat the same mistakes, but also hope that the whole society will coexist in harmony, and his kind reminder is reasonable even if the rhetoric is too extreme.
After reading the whole poem, everyone must have some feelings. The world is so big that there is no wonder that it is impossible to ask others not to have a city government, so they can only take more precautions themselves. During the Three Kingdoms period, Cao Cao cooked wine and talked about heroes, which surprised Liu Xuande, so he had to pretend that the chopsticks had fallen off, otherwise it would be difficult to ensure that he would not encounter trouble in front of Cao Chengxiang, who liked to be suspicious.
Sometimes casual jokes can bring misfortune; sometimes they speak quickly and will also cause resentment. Therefore, the ancients said that silence is golden, but also to prevent being hated and remembered!
