Party History Readers| Good Book Recommendation (2) "Why China"

author:Wuxing Court

Editor's Note

The history of the Party is glorious, the chapters and pages are classic, and the words and sentences are immortal. Standing at the historical intersection of the "two hundred years," we must draw nourishment from the great cause of party building and grasp the direction of the times in party history education.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and today coincides with the 26th "World Book Day," integrating the study of party history, classic reading, and court culture construction, giving full play to the ideological guidance and moral cultivation role of court culture, guiding cadres and policemen to relive the classics, enter the glorious years, and strengthen ideals and convictions, so that court culture will always develop in the direction of advanced socialist culture.

From the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Cross-Sea Bridge to the construction of 5G networks, from the rapid completion of Vulcan Mountain and Leishen Mountain to the successful launch of the last satellite of Beidou, Chinese craftsmen have created one miracle after another that has attracted the world's attention. In the face of China, which has developed so rapidly from the era of material scarcity, people cannot help but ask why China has achieved historic achievements. What exactly did China's rise depend on? The answer to all this needs to be found in the course of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, in the generation after generation of Chinese people who have ignited the fire in their hearts.

Brief introduction of the works

"Why Is China" profoundly interprets the inherent strength contained in the historic transformation of New China, tells the story of China in the important historical process of the Chinese nation, answers the historical question of "why Is China", and provides strong spiritual inspiration for the party and the people.

The book takes the historical events between the Sino-Japanese War and the formation of a new world pattern in the 21st century as research materials, deeply analyzes the hearts of the people in the broken mountains and rivers in the early modern period, reviews the struggle and wandering between the wrong roads, interprets the energy code of the victory of the War of Resistance, hooks and sinks the game contest on the way to China's rise, counts the challenges and opportunities of reforming and strengthening the army, and looks forward to the future direction of the world pattern. With a broad and comprehensive vision, consistent sharp writing, and majestic momentum, he vividly and objectively expounded to the readers the brilliant road of China from a century of vicissitudes to national rejuvenation.

Recite the perception

"Why China" is like a shot in the arm, but also like a Q&A collection, to help us understand the self-confidence "code" behind the strong national strength. By looking back at the heavy history, you can see the hot soil under your feet and feel the spirit and power that are constantly accumulating in your body. As participants and witnesses of the Chinese miracle, in the face of the complex and changeable world pattern, I hope that we can also be like the outstanding predecessors of generation after generation, not afraid of hardships and dangers, uphold the original intention, and strengthen the great belief in national rejuvenation.

Party History Readers| Good Book Recommendation (2) "Why China"

Communists are the starlight above the firmament, the magma in the depths of the earth, which can ignite the plains and illuminate the future. The more twists and turns, the more rushing; the more suffering, the more brilliant. From defeat to victory, create miracles with wisdom and courage.

A political party founded in 1921, an army created in 1927, for more than two decades, from small to large, from weak to strong, from defeat to victory, and finally seized national power. However, the opponent's grasp of national resources, foreign aid, and the superiority of all those in power have completely collapsed and disappeared in more than twenty years. Where is the true meaning of the strength of this party and army?

Knowable and unknown: from thousands of mountains and rivers to the barrier of guns and bullets

The achievements of the Chinese Communists today are remarkable, and their history has also intrigued foreigners and opponents.

Before 2001, the officers who came to the National Defense University to study were basically officers of the armies of developing countries. After 2001, we began to recruit officers from developed countries — the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Australia, Japan, South Korea, etc. to study. We find that officers in developed countries are very different from those in developing countries: officers in developing countries follow our schedules exactly as we have set, while officers in developed countries do not.

Once, we went out to visit Shandong and Shanghai. On the way to Shanghai, officers from developed countries asked on the train whether they could not visit the projects we had arranged, and whether they could see whatever they wanted. We agreed with them. When I arrived in Shanghai, the team was divided into several groups, and at that time I formed a group with the French officer Louis and the German officer Hans. Hans, who was in China for the first time, offered to see the former residence of Sun Yat-sen.

I was surprised and asked him, "The first time you came to China, how do you know that there is a former residence of Sun Yat-sen in Shanghai?" Hans said: "Sun Yat-sen led the Chinese revolution and first hired German advisers, and we Germans have contributed to your revolution." "I realized that it seemed that he had done his homework before coming to China. After visiting the former residence of Sun Yat-sen, it was time for the French officer Louis to suggest it. I was even more surprised by Louis's suggestion: he offered to see the site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China. Today, when some of our Communists arrived in Shanghai, they could not bear to see the site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China, and the French officers who went to China for the first time made such a request! Louis said to me, "I knew that you were in danger and were arresting you everywhere, so the first meeting of your Chinese Communist Party chose to be held in the French Concession." You have now made such a big situation, but don't forget the contribution of the French. ”

These examples are particularly impressive. They are all rummaging through history, tracing history, trying to discover the contribution they have made to today's world-renowned successful person. In August 2015, Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-che visited the mainland, a non-partisan but pursuing "Taiwan independence." Taipei and Shanghai are sister cities, and a deputy mayor of Shanghai hosted him. When Ke Wenzhe arrived in Shanghai, he proposed to see the site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China, and left a visiting testimonial: "Before these great buildings engraved with historical traces, human beings seemed so small. Ke Wenzhe said that he had been to the mainland 18 times, Chen Shui-bian had been to the mainland 7 times when he was "president", and almost all other provinces except Xinjiang and the northeast had been. He did not come to the mainland to see giant pandas, nor to see the Terracotta Warriors and horses, nor to the Great Wall, but to Jinggangshan, Xibaipo, Zunyi, and Yan'an. He said that he went to Yan'an because it is the place where the Communist Party has become successful, and we can learn from the experience of the Communist Party from the beginning and from the roots, and learn from the successful experience of the Communist Party. He said that the deepest impression on him at the site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China was the eight words spoken by Mao Zedong - "The spark of a spark can burn the plains."
