According to Quresi, some of the suspects have been arrested in Pakistan, and the rest are now in Afghanistan. The terrorist group network to which the attackers belonged was supported by the Indian Intelligence Agency (RAW) and the Afghan Intelligence Service (NDS).

Culressi said the task force took all the surveillance that led to the accident site during the investigation, and also found some of the body tissue of the suicide bomber at the scene of the explosion and handed it over to the forensic doctor for identification.

At the same time, Kuresi further said that the special investigation team also visited, questioned and investigated more than 1,000 employees of a nearby hydropower project one by one, and finally obtained key information about the case.

Referring to the vehicles used in the attack, Kuresi said the vehicles used in the suicide attack were smuggled from Afghanistan to Pakistan. Iqbal, deputy inspector general of Khyber Pukhtuva province, who was involved in the entire investigation process, added that the task force initially collected and cross-checked the data from the national database while collecting evidence on the spot, but found nothing.

On July 18, Pakistani Foreign Minister Ir-Kureshi (front left) visits the Army General Hospital near Islamabad, the Capital of Pakistan, to comfort Chinese personnel injured in the recent Dasu terrorist attack.

At first, everyone suspected that this was a "blind case" without a clue, and they frowned about it. Because when they locked the scene of the incident and expanded the scope of evidence one by one, they conducted forensic analysis on the surrounding 12,000 telephone numbers, and still had little effect. But in the end, after carefully examining the wreckage of the vehicle used in the suicide attack, they found that there was an advertising sticker of the car sales store on the rear of the car, which made a substantial breakthrough in the investigation of the entire case.

"Through this car sales shop advertising sticker, we found the owner of the car sales shop in Swat named Hussein, who confirmed that he received the car from the Chamalm port on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in November 2020." Iqbal further added that the vehicle was handed over to the terror attack's executors on July 7, a week before the suicide attack.

According to police, an Afghan man named Tariq, who is believed to be the mastermind of the attack, is a member of the Pakistani Taliban. According to the investigation, Tariq drove the vehicle carrying the suicide bomber to the scene of the incident the day before the incident, and then left alone.

Deputy Inspector General Khyber Pukhtuwa also stressed that the police have detained several suspects, including car dealer shop manager Hussein, but that Tariq and Muavia, who are the masterminds, have returned to Afghanistan after the attack. Khyber Pukhtuva also said there was conclusive evidence that the two had been helped by Indian and Afghan intelligence agencies.

"The plan and process of this terrorist attack was carried out as early as 7 to 8 months ago, and the perpetrators of the attack have been conducting secret investigations of the area where the attack occurred." Iqbal said. At the same time, he also said that through the investigation, it was found that the suicide bomber was named Khalid and alias Sheikh, and the attacker was not a registered citizen of Pakistan, and he used about 100 to 120 kilograms of explosives in the attack.

Iqbal concluded by saying that the Pakistani government is currently in contact with the Afghan government through judicial channels and has provided relevant evidence to the Afghan government to seek early arrest and bring these suspects to justice.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said in response to a reporter's question on the Pakistani government's announcement of the progress of the investigation into the Dasu terrorist attack on the 12th that the Chinese side is highly concerned about the Pakistani side's significant progress in the investigation of the relevant terrorist attack in a relatively short period of time, and appreciates the positive efforts made by the Pakistani side. At present, further investigation by the Pakistani side is still ongoing. In accordance with the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, the two sides will find out the truth of all facts, and on this basis, investigate and severely punish the real perpetrators. At the same time, the two sides will continue to upgrade and strengthen the security cooperation mechanism to ensure the safety of China's projects, personnel and institutions in Pakistan.

Terrorism is the common enemy of all mankind. China firmly opposes the use of terrorism by any force for geopolitical gains and calls on countries in the region to cooperate in eradicating all terrorist organizations and safeguarding the common security and development interests of all countries.
