On the evening of October 29, the large-scale ethnic symphony suite "Cuckoo and Golden Lotus" premiered at the National Centre for the Performing Arts. More than 200 artists, including the Zhuhai National Orchestra and the Zhuhai Song and Dance Troupe, together with the Choir of the Central Conservatory of Music, jointly brought an audio-visual feast to the audience in the capital.

The concert kicks off with the majestic opening song "Tribute – 1999", with epic, majestic melodies wafting through the National Centre for the Performing Arts. On the basis of adhering to traditional folk music, the concert innovatively introduced singing forms such as chorus, trio, male and female duet, male and female solo singing. Accompanied by the singing of the Central Conservatory of Music Choir and the Philharmonic Male Vocal Choir, the audience was immersed in the shock of the national symphony.
Through the combination of national orchestral music and chorus, the whole concert creates an elegant and atmospheric national music masterpiece. The full suite of "Rhododendron and Golden Lotus" consists of 14 vocal suites and ethnic orchestral music, starting from the opening overture "Praise - 1999", "Sail Shadow", "Water Language", "Acacia", "Flower Dream", "Tide Sound", "Green Shade", "Flying Rainbow", "Wave Running", "Lotus Heart", "Harmony Rhyme", "Dianjing", "Pilot" and other sub-songs as promised, and the epilogue "Tribute - 2049" echoes the opening.
As a local Chinese orchestra in Guangdong and a new generation of folk music that has just been established for two years, zhuhai national orchestra has always adhered to Guangdong music as the core expression. The instruments of this performance use the "five heads" (namely Gao Hu, Coconut Qin, YangQin, Qin Qin, Flute), Chaozhou Gong and other representative instruments in Some Guangdong music, which fully demonstrates the charm of Cantonese music.
