UK Weekly Sales List: SE Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy ranked second

The UK's most recent week of physical game sales charts have been released, with new releases of Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy and Mario Party failing to beat EA's FIFA 22.

EA's soccer game FIFA 22, despite a 11% decline in weekly sales, has secured its top spot in the sales charts, which has been the best seller in the UK for five consecutive weeks.

Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy is the second game based on the Marvel IP launched by SE after last year's Marvel Avengers. Compared to Marvel's Avengers, Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy's uk debut sales (physical) were 58% lower. Of course, Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy is a smaller game, and expectations are not as high as Marvel's Avengers. In the first week of physical sales of Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy in the UK, 63% was PS5, 19% was PS4, and Xbox accounted for only 18%.

Another new game released last week was Ubisoft's Extreme Nation, which ranked eighth, with 52% of sales being PS5, 28% Xbox and 20% PS4.

Due to the new release of the game, Ubisoft's Far Cry 6 dropped to fourth place, and sales fell by 23%.
