Speaking on behalf of the organizers, Sun Dagang said that from 1904 to 1906, Mr. Lu Xun came to study at The Sendai Medical College, the predecessor of Tohoku University in the consular district of the Consulate General in Niigata. During this time, he and Mr. Fujino formed a deep teacher-student friendship. Today, more than a hundred years later, sendai and other places are still active in many non-governmental organizations that inherit the spirit of Lu Xun and promote Sino-Japanese friendship. The number of Chinese students studying at Northeastern University has grown from Lu Xun alone to thousands of people today. To build Sino-Japanese relations that meet the requirements of the new era, it is necessary for all walks of life in China and Japan to move in the same direction and work together. It is hoped that the participants will draw strength from Lu Xun and his works, strengthen their faith in friendship, and push Sino-Japanese relations to set sail for the next 50 years and move steadily and far.
