Beijing News (reporter Liu Zhen) The original ecological dance drama "The Source of the Great River", as a participating work of "Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China", will be staged at the Beijing Tianqiao Art Center from May 22 to 23. The drama is planned and produced by the Qinghai Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and the Qinghai Performing Arts Group specially invites the national outstanding artistic creators to form a main creative team, with Luo Huaizhen as the screenwriter, Tong Ruirui as the chief choreographer, Sanbao as the composer, Gao Guangjian as the stage designer, and dancers Li Yiran, Pan Yongchao, Feng Shiyang and Yang Zheng as the main actors.

With the theme of "Building an Ecological Highland to Guard the Chinese Water Tower", "The Source of the Great River" explores the development history of Chinese civilization from the perspective of human origin and harmonious coexistence between man and nature, displays the spiritual connotation of Heyuan culture and Hehuang culture in Chinese culture through art, and gives the connotation of "Chinese Water Tower" culture and the vitality of civilization. According to reports, since October 2019, the main creative team went to the Sanjiangyuan area of Qinghai for the first time to collect wind, and in the following months, the main creative team went to the Sanjiangyuan twice, went deep into the hinterland of the source to carry out in-depth wind collection activities, and went to the Hehuang area several times to collect wind.
From the creative concept, choreography to music creation, dance vocabulary and stage design, the play is to respect and absorb the regional national culture on the basis of keeping the right innovation, from the perspective of "I", taking the story of the people in the source area of the Yellow River protecting the ecological environment as the starting point, the main emotional line between people and animals and between people runs through the whole play, the mountains, water, animals and characters are embedded in the plot, and the complex structure of the play, the history of history, and the drama in the play is adopted, which profoundly shows that generations of Qinghai people have respected nature and conformed to nature for thousands of years.
