In 1970, Wang Zizheng was appointed deputy chief of the security section, and he, a man who usually behaved a little lowly, was very happy during that time. Soon after Wang Zizheng became deputy section chief, the Kunming Military Region received a letter from Wang Zizheng's hometown exposing him.
It turned out that Wang Zizheng's original name was not called this, his real name was Wang Zhizheng, he participated in the counter-revolutionary action in his hometown in the early years, and also shot the director of the village committee of his hometown, and has been absconding ever since. It was probably during this period that Wang Zhizheng changed his name to "Wang Zizheng" and joined the People's Liberation Army.
After receiving this letter, the Political Department of the Military Region launched a quarantine examination of Wang Zizheng in accordance with the regulations. For this reason, Wang Zizheng was guarded by a sentry on the night of the crime, which should also be regarded as his alibi.

Probably in the early hours of December 17, Wang Zizheng sneaked out of the isolation room with his excellent physical fitness, and then mixed into the compound of the military region with his previous work experience as the deputy chief of the security section, stole two pistols and supporting bullets, and then entered Tan Furen's home to start his criminal acts.
It is worth mentioning that Wang Zizheng first shot and killed Wang Liyan, and then when he was pursuing and killing Tan Furen, Tan Furen ran to the guard to call for help. But one of the guards on duty was frightened into hiding in the kitchen when he heard the gunshots, and the other was messing with the older nanny.
Tan Furen failed to get help in time and was eventually shot and killed by Wang Zizheng, who was chasing him.
Who knows, more than two months after the murder of Tan Furen and his wife, Jing Rulin, the minister of the Ministry of Security, was found hanging himself in the canteen.
