Tzuyu Zhou (Born June 14, 1999 in Tainan, Taiwan) is a Taiwanese pop singer and dancer and a member of the South Korean girl singing group TWICE. Born in the East District of Tainan City, Taiwan Province, Zhou Ziyu loved to dance and began to learn ballet since kindergarten. Since then, Zhou Ziyu has also studied guzheng and is the deputy head of the school class. In the second grade of junior high school, she entered a professional dance classroom to learn street dance.
In 2012, Zhou Ziyu participated in the achievement exhibition of the Max Performing Arts Center, and her dancing video was favored by JYP Entertainment's scouts; on November 15, after traveling to South Korea and after two selections, the 13-year-old officially became a trainee.
For more than two years thereafter, Zhou Ziyu studied Korean and underwent rigorous acting training while continuing his studies at The Overseas Chinese High School in Seoul, South Korea (later suspended for participating in the debut audition program).
