On October 28, the 2021 Work Promotion Meeting and Work Training Meeting of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang for the Promotion of The Democratic Supervision of Ecological Environmental Protection in the Yangtze River was held in Yichang. Zheng Jianbang, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and executive vice chairman of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, attended the meeting and made a speech.

Li Huidong, vice chairman and secretary general of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, presided over the meeting, and Li Jun, deputy director of the Ecological and Environmental Supervision and Administration Bureau of the Yangtze River Basin of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, briefed the Ministry of Ecology and Environment on the work of supporting the central committees of various democratic parties and non-party personages. Vice Governor Zhao Haishan introduced the progress of the ecological and environmental protection of the Yangtze River in the province. Wang Hongling, vice chairman of the Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, and Cheng Ping, chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, attended the meeting. Zheng Jianbang also went to the Yangtze River Protection Education Base and Xingfa Group to conduct field research and listen to the work report of Yichang City.
