This year's newly revised "Regulations on the Administration of Pig Slaughter", which is considered to be the "strictest pig killing order", clearly stipulates that pork entering the market for sale must go through: entry inspection, quality control of the whole process of slaughter, appearance records, recall of problem pig products, and risk monitoring.

Pork entering the market circulation must be slaughtered in a designated slaughterhouse with complete documents, and small slaughterhouses and individual butchers with incomplete documents will not be able to enter the market circulation of slaughtered pork.
This inevitably raises concerns: can you still slaughter your own pigs?
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="4" can > still slaughter pigs? </h1>
The first thing we need to know is that the regulations on the need to slaughter pigs in the market circulation in qualified slaughterhouses have been implemented for many years, and the "Regulations on the Administration of Pig Slaughter" adopted in 2007 clearly stipulate: "Without a fixed point, no unit or individual may engage in pig slaughtering activities."
Considering that Farmers in China have the habit of raising Pigs for the Year, it is stipulated that "except for individuals in rural areas who slaughter themselves and eat themselves." This means that it is in accordance with the regulations to slaughter your own pigs and eat them yourself.
This year's newly revised "Strictest Pig Slaughter Order" also stipulates: "Except for individuals in rural areas who slaughter themselves and feed themselves, they shall not carry out fixed-point slaughtering, and no unit or individual may engage in pig slaughtering activities without designated points." ”
It is worth noting that if it is slaughtered and sold to the market, it is illegal, and some people have been fined 100,000 yuan for this.
In October 2019, Yang Mou of Fuzhantun in Ermiao Village, Chengxiang Town, Napo County, Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, purchased a pig of about 100 kilograms from the family of a villager in the same town at a price of 30 yuan per kilogram, and slaughtered the pig at home, obtaining a total of 75 kilograms of meat.
In addition to eating it himself, Yang also handed over 16.29 kilograms of pork slaughtered by himself to Wu, who runs a pork business at the farmers' market, and asked him to help sell it at a price of 44 yuan per kilogram.
In the process of selling, the law enforcement personnel of the Napo County Market Supervision Bureau conducted daily supervision and inspection at the farmer's market and found that the 16.29 kilograms of pork placed on the pork stall did not have two certificates and two chapters, two of which were stamps stamped on the skin of the pigs.
Because the pork sold did not obtain two chapters and two certificates, and the pork sold in the market did not obtain a quarantine certificate, violating the Food Safety Law and the Measures for the Investigation and Punishment of Unlicensed Operation, the villager was eventually fined 100,000 yuan.

Many people will think that farmers have raised pigs for thousands of years and eaten pigs for thousands of years, so why are individuals not allowed to slaughter and sell?
In fact, there is no problem for individuals to slaughter their own pigs for their own consumption, the key problem is that these pork cannot enter the market circulation. The reason is to ensure the food safety of people's livelihood.
We know that in recent years, African swine fever has dealt a serious blow to the pig breeding industry, and African swine fever is a very contagious infectious disease, and the morbidity and mortality rate is as high as 100%.
Although African swine fever is not currently transmitted to humans, it can be transmitted to pigs through various channels such as humans, swill, feed, insect vectors, etc., resulting in an expansion of the epidemic. Therefore, once swine fever is found, China will cullerat pigs. For example, from August 2018 to April 2019, a total of 129 cases of African swine fever occurred in China, and a total of 1.02 million pigs were culled.
In addition to African swine fever, pigs may also be infected with or carry other viruses, although there are many viruses that do not infect humans, but may spread through humans to more pigs or other animals. Moreover, there are many sick pigs that are a threat to humans after eating, so it is strictly forbidden to circulate to the market.
In addition to the risk of the virus, some unscrupulous farms may add illegal products to pig feed, such as: clenbuterol, etc., clenbuterol will form residues in animal tissues, and consumers may directly endanger their health after use. Circulation into the market without quarantine and inspection would seriously threaten the rights of consumers.
For example, this year's CCTV "315" evening reported that Qingxian County in Hebei Province mixed "clenbuterol" in sheep feed, but these lambs could not pass the test, so they could not be traded in the market, but secretly traded on the truck.
In the same way, if farmers are allowed to slaughter pigs for sale, perhaps some criminals will illegally add contraband in the process of raising pigs, harming the rights of consumers.
Because of this, all pork in circulation must be quarantined and slaughtered at designated points to avoid similar incidents.

In the process of purchasing pork, if you want to buy assured meat, you need to pay attention to the "two certificates and two chapters" of pork, two of which are animal product quarantine certificates and meat quality inspection certificates; the two chapters are quarantine inspection seals and meat quality inspection seals.
Two documents are displayed at the pork stalls, and the market regularly checks the documents on the pork stalls.
The two chapters are very obvious, located on the body of the pork, and the long strips and round chapters we usually see are the seals of the pork. Among them, the long strip of seal is the "quarantine inspection seal", and the seal contains a lot of information, such as: province, seal code, quarantine, inspection, year, specific date of quarantine.
In the circle is the Food Inspection Pass Stamp, which contains the slaughtering company, date and quarantine pass.
Only pork with two certificates and two chapters is assured pork, and we can eat it with confidence. If the pig does not have a seal on it, then it must be vigilant and it is best to report to the market administrator.
