Zheng Lihui: The Hubei Provincial Games is the largest, highest specification and strongest comprehensive sports event in the province, which has been held for 15 sessions so far, and the 16th Hubei Provincial Games (hereinafter referred to as the 16th Provincial Games) will be held in Yichang City in 2022.
Up to now, thanks to the great attention of the provincial party committee and the provincial government and the full support of all sectors of society, the relevant work of the Provincial Sixteenth Games has progressed smoothly under the joint efforts of the Provincial Sports Bureau and the Yichang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. Specifically, the following aspects of work have been completed:
First, organizational guarantees are more powerful. The provincial government approved the establishment of the Organizing Committee and the Organizing Committee Office of the Provincial Sixteenth Games, established a liaison system between the Provincial Organizing Committee and the Yichang Preparatory Committee, and organized and held the first meeting of the Organizing Committee, the press conference, the mobilization meeting for the preparatory work of the Provincial Sixteenth Games, and the second meeting of the Organizing Committee, and made overall arrangements for the preparatory work. 1. The competition venue is ready
Yichang Olympic Sports Center, the main venue newly built in Yichang City, has been completed and accepted and put into use. It mainly includes "four halls in one game": a stadium that can accommodate 40,000 people, a comprehensive gymnasium with a capacity of 8,000 people, a swimming pool with a capacity of 1,500 people, a net feather sports center with a capacity of 2,000 people, and a shooting hall with a capacity of 400 people. It has the conditions to hold comprehensive games such as the National Games, the Provincial Games, and the City Games. At the same time, the counties and urban areas of our city have basically achieved full coverage of the "four ones" venues (a stadium, a comprehensive gymnasium, a swimming pool, and a fitness square) of sports facilities. 3. Strengthen the safety and security of the event and the prevention and control of the epidemic
