"I'll turn around, you come to see, see the cut?" On Anye Road, Ms. Wang, a resident, is turning a piece of circular stained glass with great interest, and her companion looks into the small hole opposite: "Like when we were children, we played kaleidoscope, very beautiful, very old." ”

This artwork called "One Move, One Linfen" is inspired by the new Linfen Road street LOGO, with colored glass and different colors composing a kaleidoscope, changing into a colorful Linfen in one movement and one picture, and the long-term unrepeatable picture also allows the community residents to find their childhood happiness in interaction.

"I hope to enter the community through art, on the basis of improving the function of public facilities and the public space environment, further improve the artistic atmosphere of the community, enter life through art, light up life through art, beautify life through art, and enhance the happiness and sense of gain of residents." As the organizer of the event, Shi Yu, deputy director of the Jing'an District Planning and Natural Resources Bureau, said at the opening ceremony.

The event was planned by the curatorial team of shanghai public art collaborative innovation center of Shanghai University, with the theme of "This Moment, Beautiful Linfen", through the creation of artists in residence and co-creation by community residents, 17 groups of public art works were placed in the public space of Linfen community, integrating art into the living space, so that residents can meet art at their doorstep.

Starting from Anye Road, through Linfen Road and Xingcheng Huayuan Community, it extends to Yangqu Road... Strolling along the exhibition line, sculptures, illustrations, photography, art installations and other forms of art vividly demonstrated the achievements of the construction of the community life circle in Linfen Road Street in recent years, attracting many citizens to stop and stay.

A few steps north along Anye Road is a public artwork "The Color of the Wind" composed of colored acrylic plates and stainless steel brackets, and the pictures reflected on the acrylic plates record the lives of the residents on this street, and when the wind blows the acrylic boards, the colorful life of the community becomes more vivid and flexible.

On Yangqu Road, the artworks cleverly embedded in the existing structure of the community wall tell the stories and ideals of the community residents themselves, which makes the nearby residents not only feel a sense of art and design, but also a sense of "familiarity" and "intimacy".

The work "Vision" interviews and collects the vision of 12 school-age children living in Lane 380, Linfen Road, for the future, and the two artists visualize the children's "vision" through the combination of portrait photography and 2D flat illustration, adding more interpretation and footnote to the community governance vision of "Beautiful Linfen".

The work "Rooted Project" invites community residents to tell community stories by sharing old photos of themselves. Scan the QR code at the bottom of the work to hear the residents' own good memories and touching stories of the community. Each story is also accompanied by a model of the narrator's hand, which also attracts the narrator and friends and family to take a group photo here.

"It's amazing and exciting to see yourself part of a work of art." Chen Fengying, a resident of one of the narrators, feels that "art has suddenly become less distant, and it feels more understandable and warmer and more intimate." ”

Li Yongbo, secretary of the Party Working Committee of Linfen Road Subdistrict, said that this is also the purpose of this year's Shanghai Urban Space Art Festival: to build a value recognition and regeneration with temperature, to form a living public space with temperature, and to let art enter the community and enter people's lives.

At the same time, let the community residents change from "visitors" to "participants", not only can taste the meaning of historical style, the inspiration of modern public art, but also feel the daily life scenes with pyrotechnics, and enjoy a special "immersive" art experience.

According to the curatorial team, this exhibition does not only "place" the artwork in the community public space, but also "plants" the seeds of art in the linfen road street community space. Emphasize the process of "participating together" of community residents, and let community residents and artists work together to define the work.

To this end, the artist went deep into the community, carried out fieldwork, collected historical facts and examples of the Linfen community, grasped the activity mode of the community residents in the space, and closely integrated artistic creation with people, places and things, and finally formed a display of public art.

The public artworks injected by this space art season are all next to the renewed spaces and service facilities in the community, so that more residents can understand and use these places, and at the same time integrate public aesthetic education into daily life.

The work "Age Shelf" is an illustration of an old object created on the newly installed elevator room in the 380 lane of Linfen Road. The structure of the elevator hall is like a shelf, and residents extract old objects for illustration and design, showing the exchange and collision of old objects and new life. The new life in the old building, the old objects in the new life, reproduce the memories of the residents of the community.

On the wall of the building group where the elevator is installed, there is a large wall painting work "Beautiful Linfen". A ribbon connects the two families of the elderly and children, and a bridge connects the spiritual bridge between the work of the elderly community and the family life of the elderly, and the work shows the beautiful life scene of the Linfen community.

As the main sample community of Linfen Community in this art season, Linfen Road Lane 380 Community is an updated model under the leadership of "15 Minutes Community Life Circle". Through planning, street and professional teams working with residents, by demolishing walls and sharing public spaces, the two independent residential groups that were originally incompatible with each other were formed into a whole, which greatly increased the efficiency of space use and improved environmental quality.

The edge of the original group became the center of the community, the corner became a garden, and a building in the center of the new community that "merged into one" was transformed into a neighborhood committee with multiple service functions.

In addition, in order to meet the needs of day care and meal assistance for elderly residents in the community, a three-story building in the community has been transformed into a comprehensive service center for the elderly, and now it has gradually developed into a full-age service center, not only for the elderly, but also for residents of other ages to provide corresponding community services.

The various changes in the community of Lane 380 of Linfen Road are also the epitome of the implementation of the "15-minute community life circle" planning concept in linfen community.

As the most basic unit of our society, the community is the cell of the town and the realistic starting point of the public's aesthetic education. As one of the sample communities of the 2021 Shanghai Urban Space Art Season, in recent years, under the guidance of the "15-minute community life circle" planning concept, Linfen community has continued to promote community governance work such as the renewal of old residential areas, the renewal of street space, and the supplementation and improvement of public service facilities, and gratifying changes have taken place in the appearance and quality of the community, the civilized etiquette of residents, the community governance model, and the level of people's livelihood security. The former "old and small shabby" has gradually transformed into a "cleaner, orderly, safe and livable" quality home, and realized the reverse growth of "beautiful Linfen".
