Taicang is located in the southeast of Jiangsu Province, on the south bank of the Yangtze River estuary, east of the Yangtze River, across the river from Chongming Island, south of Shanghai Baoshan District, Jiading District, west of Kunshan City, north of Changshu City. The total area is 809.93 km². Taicang is a water town in the south of the Jiangnan Province, just across the river from Shanghai's Jiading District.
Taicang's name comes from the fact that she was once the "emperor's granary". And now Taicang is obviously worthy of the name of "the emperor's granary". Its urban advertising slogan is: Modern Pastoral City, Jiangnan Jintaicang.

In the past one or two years, with the use of the Taicang double high-speed rail station, the completion of the Shanghai-Sutong high-speed railway, the opening of the Yuelu Line, and the future there will be the South Yanjiang High-speed Railway, the Jiamin Line, etc. The integration of these major traffic arteries will accelerate the development of Taicang and further consolidate the city status of the first gateway around Shanghai and one of the most developed ring cities around Shanghai.

I came to Taicang from Hunan in the mid-1990s, when Taicang was only two years old. To this day, I have been in Taicang for more than 20 years, and it can be said that I have grown up with the development of Taicang.
