We all know that changsha has a Yuelu Mountain, and when I arrived in Gansu, I found that there was also a Yuelu Mountain here. One day after breakfast in Lintao County, a friend said to take me to climb Yuelu Mountain, and I gladly went there to see what was different about Yuelu Mountain in the northwest.
Like Changsha, Lintao Yuelu Mountain is also a famous mountain, and it is said that it is still the place where Lao Tzu ascended. This aroused my curiosity, not only because of Lao Tzu's influence, but also because of what kind of mountain it was that could make Lao Tzu, who was intoxicated with mountains and rivers, bid farewell to the world here.
Yuelu Mountain is more than 2200 meters above sea level, which looks very high, but it is actually because of the high altitude of Lintao County. The urban area of the county seat is above 1800 meters above sea level, so the difference between Yuelu Mountain and Yuelu Mountain is more than 300 meters.
The car drove through the city and came to the foot of Yuelu Mountain, where there were three white deer standing in front of the scenic spot, like a "horse stepping on a flying swallow", which means auspicious and happy. The scenic spot is more lively than imagined, and the citizens come and go, dancing, singing, playing chess, and walking, just like the activity center built in the mountains.
Friends told me that the reason why it is called "Yuelu Mountain" is because there is a Song Dynasty Dongyue Temple on the mountain, and "Lu" refers to the forest at the foot of the mountain. At the entrance, there is a ditch, which is the first major branch of the Tao River and irrigates most of the land in Lintao County.
The northwest gives the impression of drought and little rain, but Lintao County has a Jiangnan-like landscape, and the reason is the Tao River. The mighty Tao River has fed generations of Lintao people, known locally as the Mother River.
Climbing up a little bit, the scenery is suddenly open, standing on the mountainside overlooking the entire county. Sandwiched between the valleys of Lintao County, north and south narrow distribution, buildings lined up, houses like a look, there is a sense of quiet and peaceful beauty, I suddenly feel that living here is also a very beautiful thing.
Then there is dongyue temple, dongyue refers to "Taishan", ancient China has the custom of sacrificing mountain gods and water gods, and officials will come here to worship during the major festivals. This is a Song Dynasty temple, repeatedly destroyed and built, and now what you see is the appearance after renovation, maintaining the pattern of the Qing Dynasty, with many temples, simple and elegant.
At the top of the hill is the Ascension Pavilion, which is the main building of Yuelu Mountain. Legend has it that Lao Tzu came to Lintao, Gansu province after passing through Hangu Pass, and liked the landscape here, so he preached on Mount Yuelu and then soared to heaven here.
There is a 3-meter-high statue of Lao Tzu in white jade, with a kind face and a gaze at the mountains and rivers of the earth in the distance. A friend told me that there was the word "Fengtai" on the wall behind me, which came from the last years of the Qing Dynasty and is still well preserved.
Interestingly, there is a plane tree next to the statue of Lao Tzu, with lush branches and dense shade, which puts the statue of Lao Tzu in the shade. Lintao drought, plane trees are not easy to grow, but this tree on Yuelu Mountain has a thousand years of history, and still thrives today, and the locals say that it is contaminated with Lao tzu's immortal qi.
In addition to Lao Tzu, there is another celebrity on the mountain, which is Yang Jisheng, who is famous in Lintao.
People familiar with the history of the Ming Dynasty know that Yang Jisheng was a famous advisor, honest and honest, and just and unyielding. During the Ming Jiajing period, Yang Jisheng was relegated to di dao as a canonical history for offending the Yan party forces, and Di Dao was now Lintao County.
During his tenure, he taught and lectured, built water conservancy, excavated coal mines, broke bad habits, and made many contributions to Lintao, and the locals called him "Father Yang". There is a "TranscendentAl college" on the mountain, which was written by Yang Jisheng and has now been converted into an exhibition room.
But the good times did not last long, Yang Jisheng was once again persecuted by Yan Song, and after being arrested and imprisoned, he was brutally poisoned, and before he died, he wrote a poem to express his ambition: "Haoqi is still too vain, Dan's heart is illuminated through the ages; before he died, he left it to make up for it with future generations."
There is a "Bifeng Pagoda" in the middle of Chaoran Academy, which stands straight on the top of Yuelu Mountain, which was built by Yang Jisheng and has a history of hundreds of years. After the completion of the academy, Yang Jisheng often came here to give lectures and wrote the famous sentence of "shouldering morality on iron shoulders, writing articles with hot hands", which has also become a true portrayal of Yang Jisheng's life.
There are many historical sites on Yuelu Mountain, as well as attractions such as Dimu Palace and Niangniang Temple, which are Taoist resorts with strong incense in the northwest. In ancient times, there was also a clear spring surging at the foot of Yuelu Mountain, which was one of the eight scenic spots of Lintao, as evidenced by the Qing Dynasty poem "Eight Views of Taoyang And The Moon of Yuquan": "Under the mountain of Yuelu, it is said that there is a jade spring." The waves and shadows flow and the moonlight circles pour out."
The pavilions on the mountain are all over the place, the flowers and trees are luxuriant, the summer is cool and comfortable, it is a rare scenic spot, and you can overlook the county town on weekdays, overlook the beauty of Lintao, and feel the beauty of the mountains and rivers of the earth.
