Former head coach of the national junior Go team
Wu Yulin career six stages
The little dragon generation represented by Chang Hao and Luo Xiehe, the little tiger generation represented by Gu Li and Kong Jie, the little leopard generation represented by Chen Yaoye and Park Wenyao, and the growth of generations of chess players have all been cultivated by Wu Lao's hard work and entrusted with the care of Wu Lao.
The first National Junior Team, established in the 1980s, was headed by Wu Yulin Liudan and Luo Jianwen Seventh Duan, who were quite the leaders of the ancient wulin sect. Six of the most popular seven little dragons in the team are impressively listed, and they have become outstanding chess players in the Chinese chess world from the mid-1990s to the beginning of the new century. From the left in the front row are: Ding Wei, Han Gang, Han Ye, Luo Xiehe. The second row starts from left: Luo Jianwen, Wu Yulin, Chang Hao. The people behind them, regardless of whether they are from the left, are: Wang Lei, Zhou Heyang, Liu Jing, Zhu Yi, Liu Jun, Hang Tianpeng, and Fu Li. Filming location: Stairwell on the second floor of the China-Japan Friendship Go Hall.
On August 9, 2006, on the day of Wu Lao's sixtieth birthday, he got the retirement certificate just issued in the office of the China Chess Academy,—— and bid farewell to his busy post for eighteen years.
Although he himself cannot compete with Chen Zude, Nie Weiping, Ma Xiaochun, Yu Bin and other "big marshals" in terms of fame and personal achievements, he has cultivated four generations of dragon, tiger, leopard and sheep players on the one hand, and has personally experienced the great rise of Chinese Go and cast a brilliant "second spring". Even this game, which seems to be incomparable with the World Series with the title of "new sharp", is enough to verify the success of his "behind-the-scenes coach".
Wu Yulin became the coach of the National Junior Team in 1988, when the National Junior Team was in the early stages of its creation, led by two Sichuan professional chess players, Wang Yuan and Kong Xiangming. However, due to Wang Yuan's return to Chengdu to work because of family affairs, Wu Yulin, who was the coach of the Beijing Chess Academy at the time, took over his job, and at that time, his subordinates were mainly the "little dragons" who later became the chess players.
"In the 90s, Xiaokong went to Japan again, and in the 90s, there were Wang Qun, Hua Xueming, etc., but there was also a stage in which a person was taking..." The coach of the national junior team means to contribute silently, and the work he does is not obvious but the key is in the subtleties, which is the most important thing to say: "Before 92 years, we lived in the training bureau, that is, the coaches were 'three six system', that is, every Wednesday and Saturday night back home, the rest of the time is completely with the team members to eat and live together. Every morning at 6 o'clock, I have to go to the team's dormitory to turn on the lights one by one to wake them up, go out to run Longtan Lake; turn off the lights at 10 o'clock at night, and also ask the coach to pull one room after another. When they're down to sleep, we'll have to write something ourselves... Over the years, the management has been much looser, and with weekends, the coach can go home at night. ”
Times have changed, and he admits that the way of education is also changing, but this recognition is still somewhat helpless: "In the past 60s, when we learned chess, everyone worked hard and worked hard, although home was in Beijing, that is, once a week on Saturday night, I rushed back to the team at noon on Sunday, and I began training in the afternoon." Now 52 weeks a year, the weekend is 104 days, I sincerely hope that young chess players work hard, otherwise it is easy to relax. Of course, over time, I also realized that it is necessary to pay attention to the nature of young people, realize the generation gap problem, and blindly bury your head in chess may not be a good thing. ”
Wu Yulin is a well-known "widow cow" in the Chinese chess academy, never saying much, and has always buried his head in work. So many chores, he meticulously completed. No matter how late the game went, he was the last to leave.
Wu Yulin treats people kindly, and no one in the national team chess players has not been taken care of by him. Treating media reporters, whether they are old memories or newcomers, Wu Yulin has never had a little temper, but treats each other with sincerity and responds to every request. Even if you lead the team to participate in international competitions, as long as you can find him, you can always get the most detailed on-site information. Sometimes, he had to repeat the same words to different reporters several times, and the people on the other side were annoyed, but Wu Yulin was still happy.
In taking care of others and being considerate of others, Wu Yulin must not be a little false. For Wu Yulin, such a thing had never happened. He is such a naturally generous and honest man, who will not be pretentious and unwilling to be pretentious. If you want to find a good person who has no words up and down, Wu Yulin is probably not the only one, but it is definitely the first.
When Wu Yulin retired, Wang Runan, Hua Xueming and other chess leaders Zhang Luo held a farewell meeting for him, saying that he was retired, but once the chess academy had an invitation, the Jianqiao Cup, the Weijia League, and the International Cutting-edge Competition could still see Wu Yulin's busy figure. He was replaced by someone, but some of the work he had done and was still doing was really not good without him.
Yulin is silent, and the next is self-made. I wish that Elder Wu, who is generous and simple and always adheres to the "original intention", will be healthy and have endless chess fun on the road of Go in the future.
