Pang Hanchen: Becoming Roger, becoming an actor with the ability to shape the actor guide to play more than one hero dream more true and contrast I can also play a lot of genre idols is Zhou Xun I am still on the road, the driving force of progress is never satisfied

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="5" > introduction</h1>

"Maybe Roger and Shaw Are getting closer to me. Gao Sicong, will be farther away. ”

In Youku's latest hit "Hello, Flame Blue", Pang Hanchen played a firefighter. In the play, he and Huo Yan, played by Gong Jun, are comrades-in-arms and love enemies, and outside the play, he is a young actor who has just passed the age of standing.

Whether it is Xiao Haiyang, who is well known in "Passing through the Window Together", or Ouyang Heng, an outstanding seed player in the swimming world in "Waves and Flowers", for a long time, as a newcomer actor, Pang Hanchen has been exposed to some "sports" and "impulsive" roles.

"I was more resistant to labeling because I felt I could create a lot of different types of characters."

But starting from "Ordinary Glory", silver-rimmed glasses, a straight suit, an elite image that is both clear and screwed, and has repeatedly encountered walls when entering the workplace, allows the audience to see his plasticity through the role of Gao Sicong.

"Since Goscong, I've been exposed to a variety of different roles."

In Pang Hanchen's eyes, Roger is such a special existence. He was brave, loving and hateful, and responsible. As a deputy station chief of a fire station, he has been using his ability to protect his lover purely. In his eyes, from Yan Lan of the green plum bamboo horse, to friends and comrades-in-arms to the final protection of his family, more and more people are guarding.

In the play, the relationship between Pang Hanchen and Gong Jun and Zhang Huiwen is still a triangle, but in Pang Hanchen's mouth, this character relationship and emotional line are natural and open-minded, and Roger is not a facial existence.

Pang Hanchen laughed and said that he had played too many "love and can't" roles. Although he is still a affectionate companion in "Hello, Flame Blue", he is first and foremost a responsible firefighter, which is also the biggest charm of this role. "We went to Nanjing Fire Fighting a few weeks in advance, and the protagonists lived in the dormitory Chase Shop to train together every day... The experience of such a difficult film in our shooting is less than a fraction of that of the firefighter commanders and fighters, who deserve to be respected. ”

After acting in youth films and workplace dramas, Pang Hanchen told Yishi that many pure love dramas now have a completely empty life, and they can't run out of those fixed routines. The professionalism of the character will make the character more attractive to life.

Pang Hanchen is indeed a persistent and determined person. When it comes to the details of the performance, he will have his own stubbornness, if he can't figure out the relationship and logic of the characters, he will be a bit "unable to get by", he scratched his head and laughed. Pang Hanchen hopes that he can understand the role as much as possible through the logic of life, let everything happen naturally, and make the performance more comfortable and real. But this "comfort" is actually short-lived, because when a standard is reached, it will have new requirements for itself and want to jump out of the comfort zone. He hopes that he will continue to take on new challenges in performance.

So for Roger, he'll choose his own way to polish the character. "I added some personality details to the character, such as whether he should say some cold jokes", or "During the filming process, I will write a text message to 'Yan Lan' in my memo." I want to believe in the relationship even more in the process. ”

In Pang Hanchen's view, there is a boundary between the identity of the actor and the artist, and it is the identity of the actor that gives him the opportunity to stand in different perspectives, to open his horizons, and to understand different groups and individuals.

"I don't like the God perspective to deal with characters. For the actor, understanding him from his point of view is a healing thing. ”

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="148" > play firefighter</h1>

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="148" > more than one heroic dream</h1>

EW: If you were to describe the character of Roger in Hello, Flame Blue in three words, how would you choose?

PANG: Brave, responsible, love and hate.

The first is bravery, and every time Roger's character encounters difficulties, he is the first to rush forward.

Then there is the distinction between responsibility and love and hate. In the play, he wants to protect the people he loves, from the beginning to protect the girl he loves the most, then to his willingness to protect his friends, and finally to protect his family, the scope of his protection has always become larger.

I knew about firefighters before or wanted to shoot this subject probably mostly out of a boy's heroic dream of trying to save people, that's all. But after actually entering the fire brigade, I was really impressed to see their daily training, police dispatches, including listening to the story of a fire commander who really participated in the Wenchuan earthquake.

I hope you can pay more attention to the profession of firefighters. We were able to experience a fraction of them when it was already so difficult to shoot, so I actually wanted my character to pay tribute to the firefighters.

EW: What homework did you do to participate in the firefighting theme?

Pang: We went to Nanjing Fire Fighting a few weeks early and really lived in their team to experience life. This experience of life was a precious experience for me. After entering the team, we starred five people living in a dormitory and training together and going to the cafeteria together.

On the second day of training, we saw them go to the police once. From the time we heard the siren to the time we got out of the police for a minute, as soon as the fire truck rang, they left, and we were very shocked.

At that time, the whole schedule was exactly the same as that of the firefighters. Get up in the morning to run and work early, go to dinner after going out, go to the exercise class of the corresponding skills of fire fighting in the morning, and continue physical training and skill training in the afternoon. To be honest, we still have a gap compared to real firefighters, but all of our actors are also trying to keep up with their rhythm.

EW: This time as the deputy station chief of the fire station, how will you get as close to the role as possible?

Pang: I actually played a lot of roles that I couldn't love, and when I got this role, I felt more like he was a firefighter. I wanted this to be the last character I couldn't love, so I put all my preparation, all my effort, into this role.

First of all, from his professional part, after I entered the fire brigade, I did special learning and training on the instruments that might be operated in the play. And in the process of shooting, I will add the characteristics of this character who will tell cold jokes.

I myself will also subtly and imperceptibly in the memo every day, allowing myself to talk to Yan Lan in the form of text messages and journals. I think this method is the only method I will use in this play, that is, it is easy to make myself believe in the relationship in the process.

EW: Judging from the feeling of filming, what do you think is the most special thing about Hello, Flame Blue?

Pang: In terms of plot, once we were shooting a firefighting scene. Because a lot of us are real scenes. The room was very small, but there were three machines to be set up, and we went in and there was a fire everywhere. The gas canister was already on fire, and we were going to carry it from the kitchen to the outside. Although I know that it is not very explosive, I am still afraid.

At that time, we searched for a video on Douyin that we found on Douyin a firefighter "DC open flower". It felt like the firefighters fanned the water, and when the fire on the front side came, the splash enveloped the fire.

We especially wanted to shoot, but it turned out to be super difficult! When we entered the door, the blasting fire rushed up to the mask, and the person would be shaken by the air flow and fall to the ground, and in the short process of falling, the water gun in his hand would be changed from direct current water to flowering water, and the water splash would envelop the sprayed flames. In fact, this shot is only a few seconds for the general audience, and it is even more difficult to see the actor's face, but we want to pay tribute to the firefighters in this way.

I was in that little room from the afternoon to the evening, because it took a long time to shoot with the explosion to complete the five-second shot.

In fact, I will also have some fear of fire. We were wearing fire suits to shoot, the boots were already filled with water, one side of the face was watered, the other side was roasted by fire, and the fireproof face towel on the neck of the face would burn as soon as the skin was exposed.

EW: In the play, you and Huo Yan, played by Gong Jun, are both comrades-in-arms and love enemies, how do you see the relationship and emotional line of the three characters in the play? Is there anything interesting about the two on set?

Pang: In fact, this drama is the best one I have ever seen a big triangle relationship, because the triangle relationship of many dramas needs the bad of male number two to set off the good of the male protagonist.

But the relationship between the three people in "Hello, Flame Blue" is very reasonable, everyone is just different personalities, Roger likes Yan Lan very much, but he will also sincerely bless her, so the picture of the last three people together is very harmonious.

Pang Hanchen: Becoming Roger, becoming an actor with the ability to shape the actor guide to play more than one hero dream more true and contrast I can also play a lot of genre idols is Zhou Xun I am still on the road, the driving force of progress is never satisfied

There was a scene where Roger left the team, because in the original script, I said a word to everyone, except that I didn't write about gong Jun's character, and we felt that we should say a word, so we played a freestyle.

After discussing with the director, the words we added were related to both Gong Jun and the role of Huo Yan, and we said, "Huo Yan, others dare not say, but I am not afraid, you sleep and grind your teeth." "It's because Junjun is really when we live together in the fire brigade, he sleeps at night to grind his teeth, I also really searched for molar-related things, grinding teeth may be because of too much psychological pressure, "talk to everyone more when there is nothing to do, don't always stay by yourself", so when he gives him a small surprise, Junjun's reaction is very flexible, and the two people's camaraderie is also established there.

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="150" > true and contrasting</h1>

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="151" > I can do a lot of genres</h1>

EW: In your past works, whether it is "Waves and Flowers" or "Hello, Flame Blue", many viewers see more labels such as "sports" and "type men", how do you think about the statement of genre actors?

Pang: I didn't like it before because I felt like I could play a lot of types of roles.

But since Gao Sicong in "Ordinary Glory", I have begun to come into contact with different characters. Just like Gao Sicong will be a completely different category from the previous sports and impulsive characters.

Pang Hanchen: Becoming Roger, becoming an actor with the ability to shape the actor guide to play more than one hero dream more true and contrast I can also play a lot of genre idols is Zhou Xun I am still on the road, the driving force of progress is never satisfied

This time the firefighters are also different, including a movie role I am shooting now, a literary photographer who is completely different from the previous texture, and a particularly thoughtful character.

EW: Is there a big contrast between you and the front of the screen in real life? Where are the differences?

Pang: Whether it is Roger in "Hello, Flame Blue" or Xiao Haiyang in "Together through the Window", it will be closer to my own personality. Like Gao Sicong or some other character after me, there will be some distance.

EW: You once said that you are a very real person in the process of acting, where is your more real point?

Pang: For me, I hope that I can become an actor with the ability to shape, and I hope that in every play, every role, I can put on the cloak of that role and become him as much as possible.

When filming "Hello, Flame Blue", there were also such points that could not be passed, because everyone's cognition is limited.

At the beginning, when we received this script, we felt that Roger's love for Yan Lan was very invested, liked her for many years, and did not have any contact with other girls, which was a very extreme and persistent feeling. How can he know they can't be together and then get into the next relationship, which is what I didn't let myself conform to in the first place. So I want to find an angle, so that such a person can be fully committed, but also a sense of responsibility to put down all the feelings.

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="152" > idol is Zhou Xun</h1>

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="153" > I'm still on the road, and the driving force for progress is never satisfied</h1>

EW: You said last year that you wanted to be comfortable acting before the age of 30, but what is the state of being comfortable and satisfied with acting?

Pom: It's a particularly fictional word, because it will never be satisfied.

For acting, I will always feel like I can be better. There may be times when you feel that you are invested in this role, you are this role, but you will still be dissatisfied, and you will feel that I still want to give this character more things, so that he can be seen more and more really by the audience.

So between comfortable and uncomfortable I am constantly adjusting and balancing, when comfortable to a period of time, I feel that I don't want to make myself so comfortable to perform, I want to set up obstacles for myself to challenge, and then make myself uncomfortable, and then adjust to comfortable.

EW: What do you think of as a good actor, with his own idols?

Pang: My idol is Teacher Zhou Xun.

I love her performances so much, she doesn't have to do a lot in every shot, she's convincing as long as she's there, and I think that's the biggest charm of an actor.

EW: What is your insistence on theater in your heart?

Pang: I see acting as a way to learn more about people through the characters.

I also want to challenge the more extreme characters, slightly morbid or perverted, or have a mutilated personality, which is the category I have always wanted to challenge.

Maybe when I was relatively simple at the beginning, I would not be accustomed to such people, I would not accept such people, and I would only like people who were very similar to myself. But when you get a role like that, you have to stand in his point of view to understand how he thinks, I don't like God's perspective to deal with a role, I hope to be able to fully stand in his point of view to understand him, and then in these processes, in fact, broaden their own acceptance, will allow themselves to accept more people and understand more people, I think this is particularly magical and healing for actors.
