Recently, a netizen reflected through the People's Network leadership message board that a teacher of the Law School of Yunnan University for Nationalities used dialects to give lectures and did not pay enough attention to teaching. In this regard, the Yunnan Provincial Department of Education replied that the teacher is from Liaoning, and he used Mandarin throughout the teaching process, and the language used had a little accent, but it did not affect the content expression of the course professors and communicate with the students.

The above-mentioned netizens said that Teacher Liu of the law school used dialects to lecture in dialects, not Mandarin, and he was a lawyer, and "the focus was not on teaching." In response to the netizen's feedback, the Yunnan Provincial Department of Education replied that from September 30 to October 11, 2021, the Academic Affairs Office of Yunnan Nationalities University (curriculum teacher student center) and the Law School randomly listened to the teacher's course, and according to the content of the lecture, the teacher was from Liaoning, and he used Mandarin throughout the teaching process, and the language used had a little accent, but it did not affect the content expression of the course and the communication with the students.

According to the above reply, on October 8, 2021, the law school randomly selected 4 students from all classes taught by the teacher in the first semester of the 2021-2022 academic year, and the 4 students said that there was no situation of not understanding the course, and said that the teacher was responsible for the class and liked his class.

According to the verification of the Law School of Yunnan University for Nationalities, the teacher is a part-time lawyer, but it has not affected the normal teaching work. The teacher holds a college teacher qualification certificate and a Putonghua Grade II B certificate, and strictly implements the teaching plan and completes the teaching tasks every semester.

On October 11, 2021, according to the teacher's evaluation data for the 2020-2021 school year retrieved by the school, the average score of the students was 96 points (out of 100 points); the school-level supervisor evaluated him as a serious lesson preparation, complete organization, language standardization, clear expression, and vivid and interesting explanation.

The relevant personnel of the School Academic Affairs Office (Curriculum Teachers and Student Center) held a discussion with the leaders of the law school and the teachers involved on the issue of petitioning, and the leaders of the law school and the teacher said that since teaching for 17 years, the teacher has strictly abided by the rules and regulations of the school, treated the work seriously and responsibly, actively undertaked tasks such as teaching, internship training, and thesis guidance, and after verification, there have been no teaching accidents since he entered the company.
