Xiao Yin loves calligraphy, and in addition to his own handwriting posters (see the article "Xiao Yin Literature Museum Exhibits Story 4: Calligraphy-loving Xiao Yin's handwritten posters"), he also collected a box of ancient ink. This box of ancient ink has a total of four ink ingots, which are packed in a box with the word "hidden smoke" on it.

After Xiao Yin's death, his family donated this box of ancient ink, together with Xiao Yin's other works, letters, notes, manuscript materials, stationery, and daily necessities, to Xiao Yin's hometown of Heyuan free of charge, and became an exhibit of Xiao Yin's Literature Museum in the Heyuan Library.

People who love calligraphy know, as "Tiangong Kaiwu" said: "Where ink, smoke is burned and condensed." "Here we are talking about the method of making ink." "Burning smoke" refers to the burning of wood or oil. to obtain carbon black. It is mixed in a certain proportion of carbon black, glue and water, formed in a mold, and becomes an ink ingot after drying.

The famous ancient ink is all smoke ink, and there are words and patterns on both sides of the ink ingot, in addition to practical value, there is also collection value. Perhaps this is the name of The Ancient Ink being given the name "Hidden Smoke".
