On October 31, the General Skills Training Course for Volunteers of the Winter Olympics of Beijing Language and Culture University was officially opened. The General Skills Training for Winter Olympic Volunteers aims to cultivate volunteers to understand the spirit of the Winter Olympics, exert their language advantages, and become familiar with volunteer work, so as to better serve the Winter Olympic Games during the Games. The three-week training course will be held in large and small classes from 31 October, and will simulate the various scenarios that volunteers may face during the Winter Olympics.
On the morning of October 31, Beijing Language and Culture University held the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics Volunteer General Training Class. Zhang Lina, deputy director of the Volunteer Department of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, affirmed the volunteer service strength of Beijing Language and Culture University. She said that the winter Olympic volunteer training activities in Beiyu School are well organized and targeted, which provides a guarantee for the service of winter Olympic events. Beijing Language and Culture University Winter Olympic Volunteer Related Work since the end of 2018, a total of 1445 students registered in the global network volunteer recruitment system, and now 291 professional volunteers are planned to be admitted in related business fields to undertake the relevant work of the National Speed Skating Hall, the National Gymnasium and the Zhangjiakou Winter Olympic Village.
Teacher Zou Luo iridium of the Volunteer Service Guidance Center of the Youth League Committee introduced the early stage of volunteer work in Beijing Language and Culture University. Associate Professor Cao Zehuang, the representative of the teaching teachers, gave a brief introduction to the English interview and English training of volunteers at Beijing Language and Culture University, and put forward requirements for the volunteers' language application ability. Liu Shangqi, a volunteer representative of the National Speed Skating Hall, shared his experience as a language service volunteer at the National Speed Skating Hall during the test competition. Wang Shiran, the representative of the trainees of the training class, expressed his honor and excitement to become a volunteer of the Winter Olympics. After the training meeting, Vice President Huang Yifang carried out a party class with the theme of "Winter Olympics with me, youth without regrets - growing into talents in volunteer service" for all volunteers in the school.
From the afternoon of October 31st to November 21st, the general skills training course for volunteers of Beijing Language and Culture University was launched one after another. The training includes volunteer service etiquette and precautions during the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, volunteer psychological and physical health management training, emergency care theory, emergency response and safety awareness of large-scale activities, knowledge of epidemic prevention manuals, intercultural communication norms and foreign affairs discipline, explanation of common and special english vocabulary for the Winter Olympics, international situation and international relations, etc. The training also involves a number of practical courses such as large-scale event emergencies and security risk prevention and response drills, and winter Olympics epidemic prevention and control terminology and scenario simulation. Help volunteers learn about the Winter Olympics and feel the atmosphere of the Winter Olympics.
