Previously, Nansha had launched a design competition for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Innovation Cooperation Demonstration Zone located in the south of Wanqingsha, and now the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Planning and Natural Resources and the People's Government of Nansha District of Guangzhou jointly released the finalist plan for this design competition.
According to the introduction, the competition attracted 29 consortiums from 64 top design institutions around the world to register, and after the competition, 3 schemes won (at this stage, the ranking is not in order).
The three winning panels will be showcased at the Planning Exhibition Center in Nansha District, Guangzhou, and an online public vote will be launched to finally select a winning proposal.

Design ideas: The plan proposes the planning concept of "one leaf light boat, amphibious bay core, three life and ten thousand walls, and bay core exchange and cooperation living room", with the three major visions of creating a super-flowing brisk city, an endogenous and self-contained surrounded field neighborhood, and a pro-nature roaming water town. It proposes three major strategies: planning a new chapter for Guangzhou to lead the city, creating an amphibious ark with ecological resilience in the center of the southern bay area, and growing a model of water city neighborhood with inward symbiosis and extroverted circulation. Based on the super flow of the basic skeleton, the double bay core portal of the interconnection of production and creation, the elastic amphibious Wanwei block, the cascading city-sea intersolution, and the hydrophilic tough disaster response system as the five design propositions, the yingcheng concept of growth city and amphibious city is proposed.
