Chen Zhuo (陈抟), also spelled Tu Nan , a Tang Dynasty scholar , known as "Fu Shazi", "Mr. Baiyun", "Mr. Xiyi", initially lived in seclusion in the Nine Chambers Rock Monastery of Wudang Mountain for more than 20 years, and then successively lived in seclusion in the Yuntai Temple of Mount Hua and the Stone Cave of Shaohua Mountain, and was good at serving the art of qi and valley breaking, and it was said that his longevity lived to the age of 118, and later generations called him "Chen Zhuo Laozu" and "Sleeping Immortal".

Chen Zhuo Laozu has a lot of experience in sleep health, and wrote the famous "Sleep Skills Recipe" (also known as "Dragon Sting Method"), which describes the essence of it. The original text is as follows:

"The dragon returns to the Yuan sea, and the yang lurks in the yin." Man knows the dragon, but I sting my heart.

Conceal its use, and breathe deeply. The white clouds lie high, and the world does not know the sound. ”

Sting means a state like an animal hibernating. The main point of this sleep skill is to "impercede the yang in the yin", which requires that the mental state be converged to the inner peace, and the rather is fixed, and the fixed is angry. The heart hides the god, the god is in the upper position, should move the spirit down to pay attention to the abdomen dantian, hold a natural static pole yang, gradually enter the fetal breath state, when cultivating, to remain silent and deep, as far as possible to extinguish the outer edge interference. Practicing this method often can well regulate sleep, and at the same time, it can greatly increase people's Yuanyang Qi and restore physical functions.
