Chen Zhuo (陈抟), of the Zhenyuan ren clan of Bozhou (亳州), was known as "Fu Shazi", Mr. Baiyun, Mr. Xiyi, and was later honored as Chen Zhuo Laozu . He was proficient in Yi Li, the first to draw tai chi diagrams, and the secret Neidan doctrine was made public, with the reputation of "the world's first sleeping immortal", often sleeping for several days, the "History of Song" recorded: "Every sleeping place, more than a hundred days can not afford." According to legend, he had close contacts with Taoist legends Lü Dongbin, Li Qi, and Tan Qiao. His writings "Yi Long Tu Sequence", "Turtle Prison", "Heart Phase" and so on have a great influence on later generations
Chen Zhuo Laozu
When Zhao Kuangyin was only a pawn, he was good at playing chess and had superb chess skills, and many masters were his defeated generals. He claims to be the world's first master, so he often feels that he is difficult to meet his opponents. One day with the army through Mount Hua, I heard that there was an old dao chess skill on the mountain, which was famous far and wide. Zhao Kuangyin did not feel the itch of skill, and climbed Mount Hua to find Lao Dao to play chess. This Taoist figure was none other than the famous "Sleeping Immortal" Chen Zhuo Laozu.

Chen Xuan saw that Zhao Kuangyin had big ears and had the spirit of an emperor, and deliberately provoked him, hating him as just a small soldier and unwilling to play against him. Zhao Kuangyin was anxious when he heard this, and boasted that he wanted to use Mount Hua as a bet to compete with Chen Zhuoyi. The chess game reaches the middle game, and the situation is two points; when it comes to the endgame, Chen Zhuo intends to stimulate Zhao Kuangyin with words. Zhao Kuangyin was angry and wanted to take it down in one fell swoop by killing and eating, but he was too hasty and defeated.
Later, Chen Qiao mutinied, and Zhao Kuangyin was dressed in yellow robes and ascended to the throne. Chen Zhuo was riding a donkey around Huayin County, when he heard about this, he clapped his hands on the back of the donkey and smiled: "The world will be fixed from now on!" Zhao Kuangyin, who had become emperor, did not renege on his word and ordered that the taxes of the Daoist monks and commoners in Huashan be exempted. Since then, there has been a saying that "no grain has been paid since the ancient Huashan Mountains". The place where they played against each other in the past, the "Chess Pavilion", is now a famous attraction on Mount Hua.

Why did Chen Zhuo Lao zu provoke Zhao Kuangyin? On the one hand, it is to let Daoists have a good place to cultivate; on the other hand, it is for the sake of the world' sentient beings. Chen Zhuo witnessed the long-term war and turmoil of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, and placed his hopes for peace in the world on Zhao Kuangyin, hoping that he would be lenient and practice benevolent government. Zhao Kuangyin also lived up to Chen Zhuo's high expectations, worked diligently and loved the people all his life, was lenient and generous, did not kill a single person indiscriminately, and created the Taiping and prosperous era of the Great Song Dynasty.
