The first plenary meeting of the Fourth Committee of the Internet Society of China Industry Self-Discipline Working Committee was held in Beijing

On October 26, the first meeting of all members of the Fourth Committee of the Internet Society of China (hereinafter referred to as the "Working Committee") was held in Beijing in the form of an online meeting. Representatives from 41 member units such as Alibaba, Tencent, JD.com, and Baidu attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Song Maoen, deputy secretary general of the Internet Society of China.

The meeting deliberated and adopted the "Rules for the Work of the Industry Self-Discipline Working Committee of the Internet Society of China (Revised Draft)" and the "Measures for the Election of the Leading Body of the Fourth Committee of the Industry Self-Discipline Working Committee of the Internet Society of China", and elected a new leading body of the Working Committee. He Guili, vice chairman and deputy secretary general of the Internet Society of China, was elected as the chairman of the Fourth Working Committee, and Cui Guobin, Liu Dehuan, Wu Hanhong, Gao Kan, Xiang Huangmei, Gong Bin, Zhang Rong, Liang Zhixiang, Liu Zhaohui, and Yang Hongpeng were elected as the vice chairmen of the Fourth Working Committee. Cao Wei, director of the Membership Department of the Association, was elected as the Secretary-General of the Fourth Working Committee.

Cao Wei reported to the meeting on the work and achievements of the Third Working Committee and proposed the work plan of the Fourth Working Committee. He said that under the guidance of relevant government departments and under the leadership of the Internet Society of China, the Fourth Working Committee will actively advocate self-discipline in the Internet industry, conscientiously implement the series of decisions and deployments of the state on the development and governance of the Internet, firmly establish the concept of innovative, coordinated, green, open and shared development, implement the requirements for strengthening and innovating social governance, continue to explore and continuously improve the self-discipline work mechanism and work content of the industry, closely follow the development of the industry and the development of the situation, and focus on hot and difficult issues in the development of the industry. Further enhance research capabilities, innovate working methods, guide enterprises to enhance their sense of responsibility, integrity and service, continue to organize member units to strengthen self-discipline, mediate enterprise disputes in a timely manner, strive to maintain a fair and orderly market environment, jointly create a clear cyberspace, and actively promote the sustained and healthy development of China's Internet industry.

In his concluding remarks, He Guili expressed his affirmation and gratitude for the hard work and achievements made by the Third Working Committee over the past five years. He said that during the period of assuming the duties of the chairman of the fourth working committee, together with all member units, they will do their best and share the mission, and with the joint efforts and active support of all member units, the working committee will certainly be able to play a leading role in grasping the overall situation and leading the face from point to point, gather consensus, pioneer and innovate, promote the stability and long-term development of Internet enterprises with industry self-discipline, promote the healthy and sustainable development of the Internet industry, and contribute to the high-quality development of the Internet in China.
