Yu Yongjun, director of the Taiwan Work Office of the Quzhou Municipal CPC Committee, said: "Quzhou's 'Rotten Keshan' is known as the birthplace of Go, Quzhou is also the birthplace of Kong's Nanzong culture, and the 'chess piece' and 'Confucius' two sub-cultures have become the most distinctive cultural identity of Quzhou, a national historical and cultural city. ”

Since the beginning of this year, Quzhou has carried out in-depth cooperation with the China Weiqi Association to jointly promote the construction of Quzhou's "World Go Holy Land". Taiwan has also attached great importance to the inheritance and promotion of Go culture for many years.

It is understood that this competition adopts the rules of the Go competition approved by the Chinese Weiqi Association. Quzhou and Taipei youth are divided into 12 teams, each with 5 players. According to the age, it is divided into two groups: junior group (2 teams each) and youth group (4 teams each), and two rounds of points competition are held. Each match is worth 2 points for winning a round and 0 points for a lost set.

Quzhou contestant Wang Keyi said: "I am still looking forward to playing chess with my friends in Taipei today, and it is best to meet some new 'chess friends'." We are all about the same age, and after the game, we can still play chess or invite them to play in Quzhou. ”

The exchange of Go between young people on both sides of the strait has continued for many years, and in addition to Zhejiang, Shanxi, Fujian and other places have been carried out.
