Guo Song (1931 – May 19, 2016) was a tenor singer and folk singer. A native of Shenyang, Liaoning. Graduated from Hegang Senior Vocational School, he grew up under the influence of folk art Peking Opera, Dahuizi, Tangshan Donkey Shadow Puppet, Duo Zhuan, Single String, Dajin and so on.

He joined the Communist Party of China in 1972. He has successively served as a soloist and leader of the Heilongjiang Provincial Song and Dance Troupe, a member of the fourth session of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, a director of the third session of the Chinese Music Association, and the vice chairman of the Heilongjiang Branch. He is a deputy to the Third and Fourth National People's Congresses. He is known for singing Northeastern folk songs. The collection includes "Selected Songs Created by Guo Song", and the art of black land folk songs represented by masterpieces such as "New Cargo Lang" and "Ussuri Boat Song" has successfully led to an unprecedented peak.

At about 7:00 on May 19, 2016, Guo Song passed away at the age of 85.

Talking about Guo Song, it is natural to think of many popular Northeast folk songs he sang. Songs such as "Lost Ring" and "Watching the Song", which he co-composed and sang, "Ussuri Boat Song", "New Cargo Lang", and "More and More Bright" composed and sung by him, have been widely sung since the 1950s and 1960s.

Among them, the most famous "Ussuri Boat Song" is a folk song of Heilongjiang Province, which is a song adapted and created on the basis of the traditional folk song tune of the Hezhe people, reflecting the revolutionary song of the Hezhe people living a happy life, cheerful, sweet and particularly cheerful.
