author:Boom no midwinter music space

Hayley Dee Westenra is a New Zealand crossover soprano.

She belongs to the same classical crossover singer as the famous British crossover singer Sarah Brightman and the famous Italian singer André Bocelli. From the champion singer in the southern hemisphere to the most high-profile shining star in the international music scene, she has created one miracle after another in the shortest time.

Hayley Dee Westenra was born on April 10, 1987.

Hayley Estra is the daughter of Gill and Gerald Estra, and she has a younger brother and a younger sister named Sophie and Isaac, respectively. Hayley was born into a musical family. Her grandmother was a singer and her grandfather was a pianist and could play the accordion.

Her musical journey began at the age of six. At a Christmas show in the elementary school she attended, she played the role of "the Littlest Star" and had a singing play. After that performance, a teacher discovered her talent and contacted her parents. (In fact, she is often referred to as "Josh Groban.") Hayley's teacher encouraged her to learn an instrument to enhance her musicality. So Hayley began to learn the violin. While learning the violin, Hayley also practiced the piano and recorded, and was able to recognize notes at the age of seven. She then began to study vocal music and ignited her passion for musical theatre. By the time she was 11, Hayley had performed nearly 40 times on stage.

At the age of 12, Hayley went to a professional recording studio to record Walking in the Air. This is a preliminary disc distributed to family and friends. At that time, 1,000 copies were made. After recording the disc, Hayley went to the streets of Christchurch with her singer sister to sing. The pair attracted a large group of people to stop and admire, and one of the female CTV reporters invited Hayley to perform on the TV station. A singing promotion company saw the show and signed Hayley to Universal Records new Zealand. Here, Hayley released a record named after herself, which included some very classic tracks. This was followed by a Christmas album, My Gift to You.

Despite Hayley's success in New Zealand, her international fame began after she signed to Deca Records and released her first globally released album, Pure, a blend of classical, light pop and Māori traditions. "Pure" became the fastest-selling debut album in the history of the British Classical Music Chart, and in the first week of its release, "Pure" received sales in 19,068 copies, rising to the top of the British Classical Music Chart and entering the eighth place on the British Pop Chart. To date, Pure has sold 2 million copies, making it the best-selling classical music album of the 21st century to date. In Hayley's hometown of New Zealand, "Pure" was awarded the honor of 12 platinums, which also made Hayley the best-selling singer of all the music genres in the country's history.

Hayley once performed at a concert for Prime Minister Blair, President Bush and the Queen of the United Kingdom. After the release of Pure, Hayley and her family moved to London, England. For most of 2006, Hayley toured her record promotions. Her parents later returned to their hometown of Christchurch. Hayley returned to her hometown as much as possible whenever she had free time.

Hayley recorded the theme song for the Disney movie Mulan 2. Her first screen performance was as a bar singer in the 46th episode of the NBC drama American Dreams. In the play, Hayley plays the guitar and sings "Who Painted the Moon Black?".
